Plenty of gf options. Most of their beer is gluten reduced. Gf buns are offered for sandwiches too. One of the most gf friendly places you will find.

Good fish tacos, more fish in there please! The fish was seasoned really well and I wanted more in there. Phone ordering from table, but as a celiac I would’ve liked more interaction to ask about their beers. I’m sure I could’ve asked someone. Gluten reduced? So I had a seltzer instead and it was delicious! Husband had the pork belly tacos and he liked his as well. No Ill effects for me thus far.

We had our dogs with us and this is one of the few places in the area that allows pets on the patio. Like all restaurants right now they are experiencing a labor shortage. Despite the lack of staff they were very attentive. The host was also running food and drinks to patrons sitting outside. He kindly asked us to place orders inside with the bar tender. They have a gf and vegan menu available. No dedicated fryer but items that a fried in the shared fryer are labeled on the menu. I ordered the Bahn mi with pork belly and OMG that pork belly was good! I had a side salad with it and the Apple Cider vinegarette was super tasty.

Odd setup, no servers, order through app. Separate GF menu but shared fryer which affects many of the items on the GF menu. App also gave me two “upgrade” options for GF which could easily mislead someone to overpay if not paying attention (+$2 for GF bun, +$1 for “gluten free” at the bottom). Beers are marked “gluten reduced” but again, you’d have to flag someone to ask more or sit at the bar. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with their knowledge after seeing them put several shared fryer appetizers on the GF menu. Cold brew coffee was not good.

Separate gluten free menu (ask for it), essentially the whole menu with gluten free buns, fries are not breaded but everything in shared fryer so not for celiacs. The chicken was breaded but apparently gluten free breading, ate it and am still doing fine!

They have GF buns but they DO NOT have a dedicated fryer so most of the things that say GF are absolutely not celiac safe.
No
Many GF menu options available. Clearly labeled (thank god) with what is gluten free or can be made gluten free with modifications. Gluten free Ramen available during the winter in Thursday’s. And gluten reduced beer!!! Highly recommend!
First visit here was a success. The menu clearly states which items are gluten free and which items have a gluten free option. Cannot say yet if this place is “Celiac friendly” since our son was not with us. But. if you simply avoid gluten, Rare Bird has plenty of options.
