I’ve eaten here in the past and they have had great gf options but there fryer is now contaminated so no gf fried shrimp anymore. I get the chargrilled oysters and boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce and I had no reaction. The waitress was helpful so make sure you ask questions.

We came here for several years and they had gluten free fried shrimp prepared safely. I looked forward to it every year on vacation. This year, like the other reviewer. I was extremely disappointed that all food is now in a shared fryer so none of it is safe and so it's back to grilled shrimp and rice. Very, very disappointing

We came here four years ago and I left a glowing review because it was so great! Well we came back last night and it was so disappointing. Despite the fish having a gluten free cornmeal batter, the French fries are dredged in a beer batter making anything from the fryer unsafe. So frustrating!!! The gluten free options aren't marked anymore and the options were very limited. My son had the blackened grilled shrimp, plain rice, and coleslaw, and while everything was cooked well, it certainly wasn't anything to be excited about. I was so sad! I even double checked before we came and the manager assured me everything was fine, but when we got there, the waiter and other manager informed me otherwise. Such a disappointment! Also they got rid of most of the outdoor games.

There was a paper menu in the condo we are renting that had items marked gf. When we got the restaurant, the menu wasn’t marked. The server was helpful and I remembered several things so asked. We had the fish bites for an app and I had a shrimp yum bowl as my meal. It was good.

Great service! Due to supply shortages they changed where they got their potatoes, so their fries are no longer gluten free. Good news though, they keep the seafood and fries separate so you can still have the fried seafood! We got the bang bang shrimp to start with, and they were so delicious! For the main meal I got the shrimp and chips (no chips) with asparagus and fruit which was so delicious! Definitely recommend coming here!

This restaurant is an absolute joke! Fish & Chips - GF mullet (a trash fish) and french fries that are NOT GF. How do you claim to primarily be GF when your pasta is NOT GF, you have NO GF buns, and you’re not willing to substitute grouper for a piece of chicken. So, a child can have chicken piccata. This place was very unaccomodating. The waitress was kind but the manager was rude. I cannot recommend this place to anyone with allergies!

Waitress was very knowledgeable of what was GF, including when I almost ordered a beverage that may contain gluten. She was able to give a substitute option! The menu was marked with GF options and also gave insight of how to order the non-GF items as GF. The fried batter they use is GF! Not much worry of cross contamination at all.

I ordered the fish tacos but asked for corn tortillas instead and they were delicious. I told the server it was due to an allergy.

NO LONGER SAFE FOR CELIACS. Items are marked on the menu as "GF" that are not gluten free. They recently added chicken tenders (wheat flour) to their menu, so all fried items are now cooked in a common frier.

We ate here twice for dinner in six days because the food and atmosphere was so great. Most of their menu can be made gluten free. They use a gluten free cornmeal batter for their fried food so the fryers are safe. I highly recommend the bam bam shrimp tacos and the Fort Pickins Lemonade. Most of the seating is outside right on the sound side. Beach access for kids to play while waiting for food. Highly recommend!

They will tell you that they have fried food safe for celiac people...until you ask if they have a dedicated fryer and they tell you no...😫
Celiac daughter did not get sick at all though and server said he was careful about her order in the kitchen.
Good handful of items are GF.
Service was great, server was personable and seemed to understand GF

I ordered the peel and eat shrimp, and the Yum fish bowl with Yum sauce. They did assure me the YUM sauce was GF, and I highly suggest it. The staff was super sweet.

They are apparently going through a menu change so nothing fried is gluten free at this time. That being said the fish over sticky rice with vegetables was very good. I am really hoping they go back to offering gluten free fried foods soon. I am very sensitive to cross contamination and did not get sick. Out door eating is really beautiful here, definitely a place to take out of town guests.

Loved this place! Our food was great and my husband was able to eat fried shrimp!
The whole menu was GF unless you had a burger, then the bun wasn’t. Everything tasted fantastic!
Yes
So they no longer offer a designated fryer, which though staff will say an item is gluten free when digging deeper all gluten and non-gluten items are fried together.... so NOT gluten free!
No
Great! Great atmosphere, food options, and wait staff. We sat outside and watched the Blue Angels practice (in the distance). Across the street from the Hilton, Holiday Inn Resort, etc. You won't even need your car (although you will appreciate having it if you attempt to eat an entire platter by yourself).

Oh my goodness. Fish and chips? Yes please. Is a great place on the water with so many options. GF listed on the menu, but be sure to ask because other stuff listed on the menu is also GF. Staff well knowledgeable.

Come here, just do it! Everything fried is GF!!! Cute atmosphere, very friendly wait staff, within walking distance to a lot of the beachfront hotels.

Ate here twice this week. The first time I ordered chicken fingers, everything is fried with a corn flour mix. They said nothing else is made in the fryer and it’s all labeled on the menu. Food was excellent then I ate their last night and our waiter seemed confused. I asked about the cocktail sauce for the shrimp even though it was listed gf I always like to double check and he was pretty clueless. But I ordered chicken fingers again and they were so good and no reaction !
OMG!!! Where has this place been all my life?! Great relaxed beachy atmosphere for the whole family. Menu offers lots of yummy GF options and is clearly marked. I haven't enjoyed GF fried foods in ages and this place allowed me to indulge in fried chicken tenders and fried fish. The mermaid drink was not only beautiful but a yummy concoction. You can sit indoor or outside next to the Bay. They also have a small gift shop. Oh and all the staff were super sweet!! If you are at Pensacola Beach this is a must try!!

Gluten free fried options. Super good!

Delicious GF fish and chips! My wife also got the GF chicken tenders, which she enjoyed. I’d just recommend they give the slaw a little more flavor.
Yes
SO delicious! Their menu was clearly marked with a lot of GF options. Everything fried was battered in a GF batter so it was safe to eat! Fries were some of the best we’ve had! The YUM bowls were delicious too! Kids and adults loved everything we got!
Yes
I was able to order gluten-free here with no problem at all! There weren’t tons and tons of options, as I also have other dietary limitations, including dairy free and being pescatarian. But I feel confident ordering here, the menu was March gluten-free, and my server knew exactly how to help me. And the french fries are so so good!
Good food, good choices, good venue, will come again when in town.dedicated fryer, sorry no bread or pasta choices,
The server was nice but my sister and I both had reactions to the grilled shrimp
No
The gf items are clearly marked on the menu. They use a dedicated fryer and even have some fried seafood option. I had the shrimp and grits, fries, peal and eat shrimp, and collards without a reaction. The food was well prepared and servers were attentive and friendly.
All fried foods are gf! Happy happy celiac eaters.

We ate here last night and it was awesome! I had the fish tacos (they subbed corn tortillas for the regular flour ones). The waiter did tell me the chips are corn but fried in the same fryer as chicken. So I had the mexican corn. Everything was wonderful! We will definitely eat here again!
Yes
Staff was willing to ask chef questions. Gluten free menu items are decent. If you order tacos with corn tortillas, they’re great but be sure to remind your server that they CANNOT put chips on your tray.
The service was awesome and staff knowledgeable, however there was not much available that was safe per celiac standards. Ok for someone with a sensitivity
No
They have no gluten-free menu, but the staff was very knowledgeable about gluten. The amazing seafood chowder is both gluten and dairy free and is absolutely amazing.
Yes
Great food and great service.
No gluten free menu. It's more like a guide to use with the normal menu. Food made me sick the next day though. I gave them two stars because it's a really neat place to sit outside and maybe just have drinks. The staff is all young kids that have no idea what gluten is.
The waitress provided a special menu upon request. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Portions are on the small side.
They cook the bread on the grill so you'll have to ask for your food to be baked or cooked another way, but it was delicious! Most of the wait staff didn't know much about gluten but they were super nice and willing to do what they needed and got a manager involved to help make sure my food was safe.
