Great service. They give you the "GF Menu" which is an excel sheet of the ingredients in each dish. Be careful reading it because you have to make sure to check the gluten section and the deep fried section of each dish to make sure it's GF. The crab legs were very delicious and they even have GF cheesecake.
They provided a menu showing food allergens including wheat. They have gluten free ranch dressing and their cheesecake was gluten free. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp and it was yummy.
They are very careful about allergies. Sometimes they'll bring out the biscuits and I watch my husband eat them. I almost always get the garlic shrimp scampi with mashed potatoes. Delish! Don't have a gf menu but they do have an allergen book which you can request at the front.
I went here for the first time today after reading about them having a tasty cheesecake. I had to see for myself if it was true. They do!! It's a crustless GF cheesecake. They have one of those stupid allergen lists instead of a GF menus, but it was easy to follow. I had a lunch of shrimp scampi, broiled chicken and mashed potatoes. I also shared the cheesecake with strawberries with my husband. It was a super tasty meal and I will go back again.
very helpful staff and manager! I explained my allergy and the manager helped with my options. I chose the flounder And crispy red potatoes. When I was unsure of the seasoning used on the fish, my waitress brought back an ingredient list! 5 star service and I felt safe eating it!
Though the allergy menu is not accurate, i.e. it said the shrimp scampi was gluten free when it contains a seasoning that has gluten in it, I am leaving this review because of how helpful the waitress and chef were. Elise went back and forth between me and Chef Dennis and helped me figure out what I could and couldn't eat. Although there are literally only a couple of things on the menu that I could eat, the fact that they were so nice and helpful and turned a potentially disappointing experience into a pleasant one earns them 3 stars for me. It would have been 4 if the allergy menu was accurate.
Awesome food that is gluten free! I have eaten here twice now with no issues. They have an allergen menu, but still make sure to ask about some of the foods that are listed as having wheat. I found that some foods were listed as having wheat ingredients, but didnt look like they did, so the manager (who was awesome and very helpful) brought me the full ingredients lists of all the things used in the dish and I was able to verify that this dish was actually gluten free. So if something doesn't look like it has wheat, ask the manager. She is very nice and will help you make sure. Oh, and tell them you have an allergy and they will be careful in the kitchen also.
We are a family with two gluten intolerant people, but not celiac. I can't speak for those highly sensitive to gluten, but our experience was pretty good. The only GF items on the kids menu were the snow crab legs, the broiled fish, and the fries. (There are other options on the main menu though.) My son was happy to be able to get fries at a restaurant. The fish wasn't very good though. My meal was a combo with salmon, snow crab legs, and red potatoes and it was pretty good. We had no issues, and would go back. Just won't get the broiled fish because it was bleh.
This restaurant was extremely accommodating! The waitress brought me an allergen menu that clearly labeled all major food allergens. I ordered a salad from the menu, but they brought it out with flour tortilla strips. They apologized immensely, and the manager removed it from the bill, and brought me a whole new salad. They were kind and patient, and definitely received a handsome tip for all they did to make sure my food was healthy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area with dietary restrictions!
I've not eaten here myself, but my uncle is a server. Based on my experience of his knowledge and preparation of my Thanksgiving dinner, I'd say he would take especially good care of those with Celiac. Ask for Marvin!
Management was exceptionally helpful with my gluten and soy allergies and carefully helped me select and prepare my meal. Menu had options that were not full of both, unlike (sadly) Olive Garden, their sister store, who only offers ONE menu item without gluten and soy...both top allergens! I will definitely be a repeat customer.
very limited menu gluten free food
limited options, but good choices that I like.
Menu is clear, and has decent selection. Grilled items are marked with an asterisk to show they could be contaminated.. Etc. Overall a high quality meal. The best part is that they have a gluten free cheesecake! & it's amazing:)
Manager was very helpful in selecting items. Offered to cook naturally gluten free foods without spices to make them gluten free. Checked on me several times to make sure everything was good. Crab legs, mashed potatoes and coleslaw made for a great gluten free meal.
Didn't know they had GF Cheese sake until I read another review... gotta go now for sure again to have that!!! Good service, well informed, helpful, good food, & not too different from normal menu as of the last time I was there. Love crab, shrimp, & Lobster!!!
I was very disappointed with the lack of choices that were gf. The hostess and server seemed clueless when I asked for the allergen sheet, as both asked if I wanted more bread. I wouldn't recommend Red Lobster if you are highly glutton sensitive
They bent over backwards to adjust the menu for my gluten free needs.
My server Kristen has a severe gluten intolerance and a dairy intolerance as I did and was able to steer me in the right direction. All of the fresh fish broiled with no seasoning is okay. Ask for the broccoli with no butter or seasoning (if dairy) and baked potato dry (sour cream has gluten in it). Cocktail shrimp and cocktail sauce were both safe and I didn't get sick! All of the salads are Gf as well, just ask for no croutons or blue cheese crumbles. Red Wine Vinaigrette dressing is GF and so is many of the others, just ask to see the allergen menu!
Managers are excellent and knowledgable about the gluten free needs. They have a new menu with a few additional GF items! Yay!
Not a good choice for gluten intolerance. I found only three things that I could eat and only one was a main dish. The service was not good.
