Salt Life for me in the 12 years I’ve lived walkable to it, has always been a solid ‘B’ experience in regards to food, flavor, service and atmosphere. I only really went because my dad was in town and he likes the bar area (which I agree, I like as well).
So with limited expectations and nerves mixed with hope, we ventured in. To my wild surprise they actually had a fully printed/ designed Gluten Free menu with many options! I had ‘Caliches Poke Bowl’ which, even pre- celiac disease was my go to menu item order. They replace the soy w/ GF soy and it was just as good as I had last time! They also had a couple GF sushi rolls, many fish dishes and even burger options that they do GF (didn’t ask about fries- doubt it though).
Overall experience was a B+ - upgrade from my decade plus ‘B’ rating because of their knowledge of the GF items and options. We’ll played, Salt Life!

Have a GF menu, still have to be careful. We went with the items that were hardest to cross contaminate like salads and fish, and did ok.

Food was good, enjoyed the Poke bowl. However, there was a visible bit of something from the fryer in my "gluten free" salad. I am currently writing this from the toilet - not for celiacs.

Had a great experience! They have a gluten free menu. Even when I asked about an item not on the gluten free menu, the waitress was knowledgeable and warned me about a risk of cross contamination. I would definitely go back again.

Consistent GF - love their shrimp and bowls. Last time I was there had a yummy hamburger with Canadian bacon on GF bun . 👍🏻

We came here twice on our trip! Great gluten free options they even brought out a toasted gluten free bun for the oysters. I got the mahi sandwich and the yardbird sandwich. Both were amazing!! Only complaint is the side options are super limited. But they took care of our needs and that’s all that matters!

Visited this place twice while in Jacksonville. Super impressed with the friendly service both visits.
They have a dedicated GF menu with lots of options and confirm items are GF when they are delivered to your table.
I had their poke bowl, Parmesan oysters, and tuna roll and was so delighted with how tasty they were.
Bonus: the place is super dog friendly and the staff promptly brought us a water bowl both times.
Would definitely recommend this place and will be back anytime we’re in the area!

Sadly, had to leave without eating because they don't have any gluten free kids options. 😢

This restaurant had a separate gluten-free menu with many selections. One side of the menu even listed everything that was in their dressings, bases, and seasonings. You can tell they take allergies very seriously here. The server was very knowledgeable when asked questions. I had the chicken with grilled pineapple (tropical yardbird) on a gluten-free bun. No reactions and it was tasty.

I had a very positive experience at Salt Life. Upon telling my server that I have Celiac, she went and got the general manager to talk to me and take care of it since he was more familiar with Celiac then she was. The General Manager, Scott, came out and brought me a dedicated gluten free menu. It has a decent number of options on it, definitely far more than the average restaurant. A lot of it is gluten-free options of items on the regular menu. Scott was extremely understanding and familiar with Celiac, and he explained their cross-contamination protocols and practices in depth, before I even asked him. Would highly recommend this restaurant for gluten free.

They have a big selection of gluten-free food. The poke bowl is one of my favorites. They have gone to a shared fryer so the chips and fries are no longer gluten-free. A real let down.

They have a separate gluten free menu but can also make many other items gluten free which may not be on the menu. They menu gives ingredient lists for their salad dressings.
I had a poke bowl and it was delicious. Just appreciated that they had a separate menu.

No problems with gluten free; however, they’re lazy when it comes to the add-ons. My gluten free fish sandwich came with no lettuce, no tomato, and neither of the sauces.

Fantastic burgers and French Fries!!

The staff was very knowledgeable and they have a separate gluten free menu and the option for gluten free soy sauce.
Yes
Waitstaff was very knowledgeable about GF options. They have GF burger buns and a separate fryer for French fries.
They were helpful. They have GF buns, but I opted to go bun-less on my chicken sandwich. It was okay. They said they have a dedicated fryer for their fries. They were good, I had no reaction.
Didn't know that most soy sauces have gluten and I got to find out only after I ate them that they don't have a dedicated fryer.

Great gluten free options! Recently added a gluten free menu and waiter was very knowledgeable about cross contamination

I got very sick from eating there!! Everyone liked their food but wasn't worth the price (or pain/being sick over)! It's more of a brand than anything it seems, very disappointing!
No
I've had the grilled fish on salad with oil dressing. It was ok. Not many options.
They told our group they have no gluten free menu.
