We visit the salty mermaid every year, it’s our go to. We will drive up from cape May. Amazing food tons of GF options! Great environment and wait staff is very knowledgeable. GF items are marked on the menu. Some of my favs are the GF flatbreads/mahi tacos and they can do any sandwich on GF roll. Sweet potato fries are also amazing. Go you will not be disappointed!!

Amazing restaurant!! The menu has gluten free food options listed. Chicken fingers to cheese burgers on gluten free buns, it’s amazing and the bread is so soft textured! The coating on the chicken fingers was SO GOOD!! not greasy or overwhelming with oil either! Fries tasted like McDonalds fries (but of course in a separate dedicated gf fryer!) they were so good. I can’t wait to go back :)

This place is amazing! The menu items are labeled gluten free and the staff is very knowledgeable. I wanted to get a margarita and the waitress wasn't sure if the mix they used was gluten free. I decided to pass and 5 minutes later the waitress had researched the mix and showed me that it was gluten free on her phone without me asking! She was incredibly nice. We got the gluten free shrimp alfredo and lobster mac and cheese and both were incredible. I would've eaten here every night of vacation if I could! Highly recommend!

My 6 year old daughter has Celiac and this was the 1st place we went to in Wildwood that actually knew what Celiac was and made me feel confident in allowing my daughter to eat a meal out. The waitress was knowledgeable and aware of what cross-contamination meant and explained the precautions they take in the kitchen. The food was amazing! We have had a delicious breakfast, lunch and a dinner there! My daughter loved everything she ate! And so did the rest of us!

My son was diagnosed celiac last winter, so we’ve been trying to find places down the shore for him this summer. The Salty Mermaid was great - he had a GF flatbread pizza app and GF chicken fingers (which he said were fine but not great - he’s also recently decided he’s not a fan of chicken fingers anymore, so take his review with a grain of salt). The fries are made in a dedicated fryer. There are many options on the menu that can be made GF, and the server was very helpful. There’s even a GF beer there (not that applied to my 13-year-old son!). The rest of the food was also delicious and the service was great. Nice atmosphere, we waited less than the 30 minutes they said, but I recommend getting there before 7, because when we were leaving around 7:45, the lines were pretty long and the waiting areas were full.

This is an excellent place to eat. Four out of the six in our group are gluten free, and we all enjoyed our food, and none of us got sick. We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. I got the avocado toast and breakfast potatoes, and others in the group got breakfast sandwiches. The bread is excellent and holds together nicely. The server seemed new and uncertain about cross-contamination, but after speaking with the chef, she came back with helpful info about how careful they are in the kitchen. The gluten free meals were brought out separately from the regular food. Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely stopping here for a meal.

Found this restaurant with this app and 100% was not disappointed! Friendly service, knowledgeable staff (our bartender was celiac and so was very helpful), and amazing food. I have Celiac, this was a pointless restaurant. There are better, delicious and cheaper options in Wildwood. They tout that they have GF options, which are basically no bun, no sauce, nothing extra—except higher price. AND the fries are frozen, oven fries. It was an all around disappointing meal. Dine elsewhere.

Staff was knowledgeable. I had the gluten free bacon cheeseburger on a gluten free bun with fries. There was a dedicated fryer. For your guests, I wouldn’t recommend the Mac and cheese. It had a weird flavor. The gluten free burger was excellent though. My margarita wasn’t good though.
