Great food and variety. The service was very good also. They were very knowledgeable. They even brought me some GF crackers with my side salad since I couldn't have bread. I had the Flounder. It was delicious. I didn't have any dessert. They did have several options.

We had a great meal with excellent service and a warm atmosphere. The seafood was superb and the menu was clearly marked with GF options. We ate here twice in one week. The owner came out and visited our table and said they only use GF flour to prevent any cross contamination. I did not have any trouble at all and feel very safe recommending this restaurant.

Never in the 6 years since my wife’s diagnosis have we experienced a server with such little knowledge or awareness of celiac disease. When we told the waiter, Cheryl, that my wife has celiac, she looked at us as though we spoke a different language. We explained it means she can’t have gluten and she immediately interrupts us and goes “oh then I don’t think you can have the potatoes cuz there’s cream in them” and so we share a look and then say “cream doesn’t have gluten” and then she says “oh you should be fine then!” We immediately say we’d feel more comfortable talking to a manager and she again interrupts us and says “oh I’ve been here for twenty years I know all the ingredients” and continues to talk over us and spout off ingredients when again we just ask to speak to the manager. Finally the manager came over and made us feel a little better about the preparation and overall lack of gluten in the kitchen. My wife was still very anxious, but ordered and ate the mahi which was served with a side salad, mixed veggies, and scalloped potatoes. She and i both liked the flavors enough, but it was not worth the price nor a return journey. She ended up getting sick a couple hours after dinner. Proceed with caution if you come here.

The Sea Grass restaurant is a great place to eat for a celiac. I had an excellent meal and the menu is extensive for gluten free items. They had GF crackers to go with my smoked salmon appetizer. I’ll be back on our next visit for sure! Rose

We came here after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. Nearly all the main courses are gluten free - so nice to have a choice for a change. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We ate here twice as I was so confident of their taking gluten free issues seriously. The portions were certainly hearty and the food was delicious.

Found this in the app and it was wonderful. Very cute restaurant and very accommodating. Menu is well marked and my appetizer of smoked salmon came out with GF crackers. Wait staff very knowledgeable when I asked about the potato side dish and they have modified the sides to be GF several years ago. My grouper piccata was very good and we will definitely go back to try other things! Nearly every enter was marked GF

Went here after reading reviews on Find Me Gluten Free App. A little too fancy for me. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free though. Brought my husband bread and brought me Crunch Masters gf crackers which was nice. I got the tilapia and it was okay but it was my first time having tilapia. Husband got duck for the first time and said he wouldn’t get that again. They brought him a mushroom sauce which he said made it better. If fancy is your thing definitely go!

Absolutely fantastic. Everything on the menu is clearly marked, accompanied by a lovely atmosphere. Portions are well-sized for most, but for sensitive stomachs it may be a bit big. I had the salmon, family had the filet mignon and tilapia, with a creme brulee dessert. A bit pricey but worth every penny. Reserving in advance is highly recommended; it gets packed later at night.

It was delicious with great service. Easily one of my favorite restaurants I've been at in Hilton Head. The staff knew what was gluten free and what wasn't and everything was marked appropriately on the menu. Reservations recommended.

After first being told it would be 1 1/2 hr wait because we didn’t have reservations, a waitstaff came out to us and offered an outside table. So glad it worked out. Food was delicious. From Crab Louie appetizer to the veal to the chocolate pate dessert. Make a reservation! Staff very attentive. No separate menu but had many option marked gf.

I had an excellent experience here. While there is not a GF menu, items are clearly identified on the menu and there are many delicious options! My family and friends are not GF, and they enjoyed their selections as well. I will definitely return.

We ate here in May and I just can't stress how much of the menu is or can be gluten free. The choices almost overwhelmed me! The owner even came over to chat! The server was extremely knowledgable also.
There are many types of fresh fish and lots of different preparations. Probably the best meal we had on the island!

Yes
They have gluten free crackers, gf items labeled on the menu, but there could be some cross contamination as it’s not a dedicated kitchen. Food is fabulous.
