The workers were so sweet! I have egg, dairy, gluten, and wheat allergy and two waiters helped me put together a bowl that would work for me. Both informed the kitchen. They did warn me of cross contamination for the sweet potato fries, incase you’re celiac:) I love this place

All three times I've gone, the servers were very knowledgeable about different allergies. They told me the extra measures they'd take, etc etc.
The problem is the mysterious fryer. On my very first visit, I was told they did not have a dedicated gluten-free fryer. So I only ate the burger. On my second visit, my server told me they DID infact have a gluten free fryer and that her mother has Celiacs like me, and it'd be safe. I tried the fries (freaking delicious), but I had teeerrible stomach pains for about 5 days following that dinner. Next time I went back, I asked again about the fryer. This third time, I was told it's ALMOST entirely gluten free, but sometimes they have to use that fryer for people with other allergies?? So if someone has a fish allergy, are they dropping their wings into the 'gluten free' fryer instead?
I don't know anymore. Too many people here have too many different answers, and that's usually a sign that there isn't a clear-cut procedure on the fryer.
Burgers are phenomenal though.

Great experience! Server was very knowledgeable. Her mother has celiac, so she was quick to assure that the kitchen would change their gloves and be careful on cross contamination. She also immediately pointed out that they have a GF fryer dedicated.

Overall, good options. Our waitress had to ask the kitchen if the fries were safe. They were not, it was shared fryer. Heard another waiter say to a guest at another table that he was “pretty sure the fries were safe.” We saved her. Did not get sick, good gluten free bun.

One of the few establishments that carries Good Gluten Free Beer (Glutenberg White). Refreshing and great customer service.
Yes
Great gf burgers. Could not eat the fries. Staff was very knowledgeable. Will go back.

Very knowledgeable about celiac. Lots of gf sides available. The fries are NOT celiac safe.
My husband and I frequented this place on our recent trip to Charleston. The burgers are delicious, the servers are very knowledgeable about gluten and safety. The steak fries were amazing. We ate here 3 times, ordering different things each time and had zero reaction. Can’t wait to come back!
Yes
They Have Gluten Free Bread. Most of the sides are cross contaminated, corn chips aren’t gluten free either. Would not recommend
The food here was pretty good. Burgers came on the classic Udi’s bun of course. The staff here was great and seemed pretty knowledgeable about their menu. Only problem we had was the wait. It took an hour to get our food and we ate it in 10 minutes. Don’t go here if you’re in any type of hurry.

I wanted to like this place, I really did, but...
service was awful. tables were finished eating and had left before we got our food. my husband want to order a flight and I kept trying to flag down our waiter, finally another server I think felt bad and helped us. I had to ask for our appetizer 3 times. We were practically finished with our meal before we got it. I never complained, but the manager came up and apologized. we saw a credit on the bill no one mentioned it, our waiter didn't even mention it. It really was this bad. Food was pretty good. He didn't offer any special fryer for sides just offered the gf bun. I didn't get sick, but service ruined my afternoon.
Great burgers on GF buns. Server was super helpful!
Yes
Delicious grass fed burger on Udis bun. Most things can be GF. Get the corn on the cob soaked in milk. OMG.
A lot to maneuver around here, but the staff was knowledgeable (Mt Pleasant). The mustard on the table is made with beer, but they have other available. The mayo has dairy in it. The ear of corn is soaked in milk overnight. I forget why but the basil pesto also had dairy in it. I had a beef burger with lettuce and tomato on an Udi's bun.
Yes
Tried to explain Celiac Disease to waitress. Followed advice from others on this app, but still got cross contaminated. If you have Celiac Disease it would be best to stay away.
No
Basically they have gluten free buns. I had the gourmet burger which is goat cheese and Bella mushrooms. I added caramelized onions. WOW. The bun was udi's and the burger was cooked to medium perfection. Just hands down good food.
Yes
Food is really good and they make their own condiments and use hormone free meats. I recommend getting your burger "in a bowl." Just be careful what you choose to eat. The fryer is not dedicated GF. Yummy milkshakes. Service was great.
No
Cross contamination good burger, bun sucked!
Beware: NO dedicated fryer and mustard has gluten in it. Was a little scared at first because our waitress, Daisy, didn't seem knowledgable about the menu and GF. This is usually where we get up at leave since we have three out of six that would get sick immediately. The manager came to instruct us about the table condiments and no problems. Food was fabulous! I really enjoyed the "burger bowl", a burger on a bed of lettuce with a side of basil pesto! Amazing!!!! If they would take a little more attention to the GF side, I would give five stars..but very yummy!
Yes
Tasty, but I got glutened. Also, my waitress told me that the fries are NOT cooked in a dedicated fryer, contrary to other posts.
Great burger and they have a dedicated fryer too, if you want fries! The server was very helpful. Beware, the house made mustard is not GF but the house made mayo is so yummy!

Very cool place. No GF menu but my server was able to tell me what to avoid. I ordered the Hawaiian turkey burger on GF bun with a side if potato salad. Very good. They toasted the bun which made the burger just plain better.
Sesame's Napa Valley burger is PHENOMENAL. All their burgers rock: fresh ingredients and loads of toppings to choose from. And they have GF buns!! eating a burger in a restaurant on a bun like a NORMAL PERSON (instead of with a knife and fork) is a delightful change of pace. But if you don't mind the knife & fork bit you can also get your burger on a bowl of greens. Excellent salads, too. Highly recommended.
Sesame has gluten free bread available for the burgers and other sandwiches. I had the napa valley. burger and it's amazing! Staff is very helpful with deciding what is gf. They do not have a separate fryer. So, no fries or chips for gf people.
