So had an interesting experience with them this morning. We went in for breakfast. We usually hit Seven Mile either Saturday of Sunday virtually every week and our bill is usually over $100. There are 5 of us. We’ve been doing this for over a decade at this point. Started at HV location and have migrated to Lewisville. So I bet I’ve handed them $60+K in that time with tips. Today the staff told us we couldn’t have outside food or drink. My wife and I had our coffee still as it hadn’t been consumed (the stuff in my morning coffee I can’t get from them, but mostly it’s nutrition supplements). We bring in cups a lot, not every time we are in but most we would. Today was the first time this was mentioned. I spoke to the manager and was told they have a sign posted. Now this really isn’t on them and they were friendly enough. But the policy has some issues. Do they know we purchase drinks every week? I still would have had a $5 Iced NOLA with oat milk, but they wanted us to take the cups to the car. I’m not coming back in if I have to leave to take my cup back outside. In fact I’m likely never coming back. It’s unfortunate. What does it cost to replace a client? Who knows, but they would not have lost any revenue this morning by allowing us to bring out drinks in. They did lose at least $100 and server lost $20 because they wouldn’t. Maybe they are busy enough that this doesn’t matter to them. Generally the food is really good and the service is good or adequate. Otherwise we wouldn’t have been going there for 10+ yrs. Policy is policy and they have the right to implement any policy they want. Maybe they should enforce it consistently or maybe have a conversation with the clients. For all the know based on the interaction today was they I had a cup and was going to add my coffee from them to my cup? I see outside cups inside regularly from others. So I know it’s not just us. Anyway they need to re-evaluate the enforcement of the policy. I’ll guess I’ll be taking my next $60K somewhere else.

If you have a food allergy issue this becomes a bigger deal. If they can’t serve you and other want to try it you have to skip because you can’t have your own food. Nothing Gluten Free only labeled Gluten Friendly. All same kitchen same staff same appliances. Would need to be careful.
