No dedicated fryer, and the staff have made mistakes (given me a regular bun instead of gf). With that said, I eat here fairly regularly and usually don’t get sick. Eat with caution if you are celiac or sensitive.

Went there a number of times when they first opened without any issues, always asked if it was for an allergy or preference, and overheard comments about changing gloves. However, it really seems to depend on who is working, I wasn't asked if it was an allergy and overheard confusion around gluten on my last visit.

We ordered gluten free buns for my daughter’s shake shack burger and she daughter had a reaction. This was the second time it happened. We will not be ordering from them again. Also when you order gluten free items and regular items. The gluten free items are not identified as gluten free.

I’ve ordered burgers with gluten free buns, milk shakes, and lemonade here. Very sensitive celiac. No issues. The fries are not safe as the fry oil has other foods that have gluten. Food is delicious and a fun treat for family with multiple food allergies. :)

This is my first visit to Shake Shack since being diagnosed with Celiac. I did some research before going and I knew they offered GF buns and the burgers and most shakes are GF. When I ordered before I could even say gluten allergy I was asked (I think they may have heard me when I was explaining my options to my boyfriend.) The GF buns are heated in a separate pan. The food was tasty and when it was ready they reviewed the bun was GF.

Shake Shack has a gluten free bun, their burger is good for fast food. This location did not bring my gluten free burger n bun separately on a different tray as to avoid cross contamination. Other locations I have visited have put my burger on a separate tray or bag to prevent cross contamination. I did advise person taking my order that I need to be gluten free. Ask them to put celiac/allergy into the order when placed. Burger was good but concerned about possible contamination.

Sensative Celiac, ordered GF bun,with other non-GF family order. Mine wasn't marked, but was figured out. Next day, No problems & I also had their fries.
