The gluten free menu is wonderful, they even have GF bread which is so hard to find. The employees on the other hand, are rude. But overall great place to eat!
What a great restaurant!! They have a large menu of prepared in-house food with a focus on breakfast and lunch favorites. While not every member of the staff is able to answer questions, the owners are in the store and they are the chief chefs--so smart answers are close by. My GF/DF wife had a vegie lettuce wrap and was VERY pleased with it.
We were glutened the only time we have eaten there. I told them that we are intolerant & ordered from the GF menu. They actually delivered the plates with bread ON the plates!!! I questioned them about the bread & they admitted it was regular bread. I explained that by putting the bread on our plates that our plates were contaminated. After I insisted, they took our plates to the kitchen & claimed to have remade them, but we were sick before we left!

what a fun, safe and tasty gluten free brunch! I had a Swiss egg omelet and side of grits and avocado with coffee. my friend who also dines GF had their huevos rancheros on a GF corn tortilla. he said the corn tortilla needed to be warmed but overall enjoyed the meal. my omelet was simple but delicious. the avocado tasted like they sprinkled lime and lemon juice on it, which didn't taste as good as it sounds. the coffee was excellent. plus, they had live jazz! I spoke with the owner prior to visiting. Cynthia reassured me they take extra effort to prevent cross contamination. But she advised me to make clear to the cashier that my food should be prepared gluten free and the cashier will relay that to the kitchen.

This is a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. They have an extensive GF menu. My gluten free salad was yummy. I really enjoyed the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and the food was good, too!
Shea's Express offers an extensive gluten free menu which includes salads, soups, meat and veggie plates (which are paleo friendly) and, my personal favorite, fish tacos! They also have omelets, breakfast tacos, and other breakfast options. They are a bakery, so it's possible that the gluten free options could come into contact with flour in the air, so it is probably best to avoid the place entirely if you have severe celiacs, but it has never bothered me. They are working on offering gluten free desserts as well!
