First time here today and it was so good! Having celiac disease it can be hard to go out to eat, but I felt very safe eating here. Not only is the food amazing, but they really take precautions when it comes to food allergies. Everything is gluten free except a couple items. Owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

I come here as often as I'm in the area, the owner is wonderful, the food is amazing and everything is gluten free except the bread. Seriously I give this a 10/10.
Support this business! Honestly I'd eat here everyday for lunch if my office was across the street instead of 30 minutes away.

I had an amazing experience eating here. It was my first time eating Lebanese food and my husband and I were treated with such care. Bilaal the owner was amazing. As soon as I told him I had Celiac disease, he washed everything and explained all of the many options. He dished up my food first and then kept all of my husband’s gluten items on a separate tray. Then, he washed his hands again before he touched my drink. I felt completely at ease eating here. He put my safety first and foremost and made us feel like family. The food was delicious, especially the chicken shawarma and vegetarian plate! I highly recommend this place as a safe and fun place to go!

I have been dying for some Shawarma that I can eat safely. I’m a very sensitive Celiac and it’s hard to find safe Middle Eastern food in orange county.
Thank you Bilaal and Jose for helping me today. I feel very safe eating here. It took us extra time to get my food together because they are so safe. They are willing to go ABOVE AND BEYOND. If safety is a concern, this is definitely the spot to eat at. I live in Tustin and for me it’s worth the drive.
When I ordered my food, they walked me through what was and was not gluten-free. They know about celiac, they understand the safety concerns. I feel very safe eating here, and I appreciate that!

Really consistent restaurant, every time we order from here the food is delicious. I agree with the other reviewers about the owner, he’s so friendly and helpful. My daughter, my granddaughter and I are gluten sensitive. We love that there are so many options to choose from and we have never gotten sick from anything we have eaten.

SHISH TAOUK is our go-to whenever we are in town. It is the FIRST place we eat at because the owner is always super nice and came in clutch by staying open beyond hours to wait for us when we arrived to LA late.
Everything in SHISH TAOUK is gluten free excluding the bread (of course), the grape leaves, and the tabouleh.
We usually go for the mixed plate and the beef and lamb plate. They tend to hook it up with falafel on top of an already generous amount of food.

This was my best food experience in recent years. The falafel is absolutely delicious - crispy on the outside but so soft on the inside, and spiced excellently. Best falafel I've ever had. The hummus was delicious too! The owner was so friendly and helpful, great to talk to - overall, a great experience.
And to top it all off, it's so safe. Since my diagnosis, finding really excellent and safe food for me outside of my own home is rare. Eating here was an absolute treat, and my husband and I already planned to meet friends in the area again so we can get more falafel. The owner knew about the safety needs, and emphasized that all but three things in the restaurant were gluten free. And he didn't need to be told to not even put the pita bread on my plate, he automatically gave it to my husband so he could eat my share, since I was paying for the full "plate". Really conscientious guy, when I went back in to get more falafel and another baklava for my husband, he made sure to remind me that the baklava is not gluten free. I'm so happy to have eaten here.
