They do not have a specifically dedicated gluten free menu, but the manager was such a great resource! She knew the difference between sensitivity and allergen, which foods could be cross contaminated, and which foods were considered safe. I had the grilled shrimp, minus puppies and corn fritter, with steamed broccoli. It was a great dinner!

I asked for the allergen menu. They said it wasn’t updated but anything grilled was fine. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken no croutons. It came with croutons. I didn’t realize until I had eaten a few bites. The manager was really ugly to me. Not celiac friendly at all!

On vacation in Gulf Shores. Came to check this place out based off 3 other reviews that claimed celiac friendly. No gluten free menu, they claimed they have a "gluten friendly" menu but could not locate one. I ordered based off the waitress' recommendations. I ordered grilled shrimp and whitefish with the green beans and turnip greens. I'm now 15 minutes out of the restaurant and am experiencing symptoms. Would not recommend for celiac

Celiac Friendly menu. No dedicated fryer. Food was AMAZING!
The staff was very pleasant when asked about gluten free items. Unfortunately they don’t officially have a “gluten-free” menu. They do have a gluten-friendly menu. They waiter said the use gluten free flour but the fryer is shared. They were super sweet though about everything. I had the steamed shrimp, corn on the cob, red potatoes, and shrimp slaw. I did not have a reaction. I would definitely recommend. I just don’t think I would go the fried option. Just didn’t feel comfortable with the shared fryer.

We were looking for a GF seafood restaurant while in Destin. Came across the Shrimp Basket. No GF menu but the staff are familiar with what menu items are GF and very helpful. We had the grilled fish and the steamed shrimp. Several GF side items available. Food was good. We’ve eaten here several times and so far no issues.

Nearly everything is battered and fried. The grilled fish is only available on flour tortillas and the cream sauce on the blackened fish is made with flour, but at least the staff was knowledgeable! The ONLY safe option was the Steamed Shrimp Platter with 1/2 lb of peel n’ eat steamed shrimp (served with cocktail sauce and/or Tartar sauce), new potatoes (flavorless but buttered), a small corn end piece, and slaw. Overall a decent meal. My dinner partner loved his fried plate of food.

Only thing that is safe to enjoy here to my findings are raw oysters and bar drinks.

Only gf options are their grilled options(just fish & shrimp). Otherwise good food and the shrimp was really good. No gf appetizers or desserts.
