I went to Smoke and Steel and talked to the hostess in person. She went back to the kitchen multiple times to ensure it would be gluten free. It was a takeout order and I should have checked it prior to leaving, but was tired after traveling. Unfortunately, they stuck bread on the meat plate and I couldn’t consume it. Called and they apologized, saying they would tell the kitchen. Really bummed.

I was pretty surprised at all of the Gluten Free options. While they are not labeled, and I’m not sure if there’s any dedicated equipment… the food was great. I had the Nachos and felt completely fine, they were also super yummy :)

From looking at the online menu, you wouldn’t know this place had good options. We messaged them on Facebook and received a prompt and thorough answer from the manager, Holly. Her husband has Celiac, so she is very knowledgeable. She promised to meet me when we arrived, explain options, and walk my food thru personally. Most of the meat platters, all the salads, and some of the sandwiches were gluten free, with gluten free buns. I had the smoke and steel salad with pulled pork and it was great.
