Just an update since management has changed hands, THEY DO NOT HAVE A DEDICATED FRYER ANYMORE, THEY STATED THE KITCHEN WASNT SAFE FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME AND RECOMMENDED I DO NOT EAT HERE, NONE OF THE STAFF KNEW WHAT GLUTEN WAS, OR CELIACS DISEASE. thank God a cook recognized it and came out to inform me that anything smoked now was no longer smoked. it was fried instead due to new management decisions. The new management also took the dedicated fryer due to higher volume of regular customers not experiencing allergies. I was told by multiple staff members that the cross contamination was at an all time high and not to eat here.

We ordered take out. There was bread put into my meal. My husband ordered corn and cornbread. We got neither in our bag. I had the brisket and potato. My brisket was two small slabs . One had fat all through it. The other was pure fat with no meat. What I did eat tasted good.

Minimal options and staff seemed hesitant when I asked questions. Needed up with a baked potato topped with pulled pork and a side salad and had no issues. Ok experience.

Great choices
Side choices were good
Not 5 star due to no dedicated fryer.
Gluten free menu
Food was great. Staff was very knowledgeable about dealing with gluten and other food allergies.
Had wonderful ribs here twice last summer (2013). Wait staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, the bar-b-que sauce was delicious. Reasonably priced. Would certainly go back. Was pleased to discover later that they are a chain, which makes for a nice addition to the road trip dining options.
Yes
The food is hit and miss. the pulled pork is GF. But taste quality isn't always great. sometimes it's just bland. thank goodness for the sauce.
Yes
The beef brisket was practically inedible because it was so fatty. The service was lackluster and they were shorthanded. Regardless, I will never eat at any location of smokey bones as this was a truly distasteful experience.
Don’t eat here if you are a Coeliac!! Friends choose restaurant for me as the Menu has lots of GF symbols. I talked to waitress and she explained that it means Gluten Friendly - the GF salad came with croutons, the GF fries cooked in Same fryer as all Breaded products. Avoid !

Items marked GF aren’t truly GF. Fries and chips are in the fryer with other items, but marked GF. Found out after I ate and have been really sick for days.

I was craving ribs so we stopped by Smokey Bones last night. The server was knowledgeable about Celiac and the menu was clearly marked. The sides are limited because the fryers have cross contamination but all the meats and most the sauces are gf. The Titos strawberry lemonade was also very good. Will go back to try other things on the menu.
