Extremely knowledgeable about celiac. Three of their four fryers are dedicated gluten free; they only have a couple of fried gluten menu items so they actually keep it segregated :) Owner assured me they have dedicated gluten free space and lots of very safe options. Fun, funky atmosphere with some unique cocktails and menu items. Worth a visit; the level of safety makes it a go-to for me now, and the menu is a bonus.

Great from a celiac perspective, but my wife and I were both disappointed with the quality of the food. The Guacamole tasted store bought, chips were stale, and taco meat was really tough to chew. Definitely not on par with Taco Luchador or other street taco places. The atmosphere was very unique and the drinks were fantastic. And as others have mentioned, they were very knowledgeable from a celiac perspective.

Such a cute place! Fun/Loud environment. Was thankful that the menu was completely marked for gluten and that pretty much everything is safe to eat. You want a ton of options this is the place for you! The food was good and satisfying. Service was quick too! I’m only gluten allergy not celiac so not sure on the cross contamination however I do know the chips are completely safe and don’t share a fryer. I was excited at the fact that they have fried fish tacos that are safe however the ratio of fish to breading was a little disappointing— too much breading. I would recommend the pork belly taco instead!

Both times visiting have ebeen great. Staff and kitchen were both knowledgeable, and willing to answer any an all questions. The rolled chicken tinga tacos were great, as was the queso with chorizo.

The staff here was really lnowledge and great about cross contamination! Dedicated fryer for their tortilla chips and taco shells. The tacos themselves were awesome and varied, and the salsa variety was good. Free chip refills!

We enjoyed our tacos, bbq torta, & chips & salsa. Tortilla chips & fried chicken are cooked in dedicated fryer. Our waiter was new but was very helpful with asking kitchen staff about cross contamination when he didn’t know the answer to our questions. Many GF options on the menu.

The food was amazing. Their fryers gluten free use only. The Tortas are not gluten free but can be made into tacos, I had the fried chicken torta and it was amazing. My husband tried the chicken and agreed it was very good. I have celiac and feel confident in the food.

Hey all, I wanted to share the food menu from my new restaurant and tiki bar, South Seas, in Butchertown. Everything on the menu is available GF. The only items that aren't GF are the tortas (the bread is not GF, but they can be ordered as tacos), the croutons on the caesar salad, and the regular pancakes (but we have GF pancakes that are great). The GF pancakes are cooked on a dedicated griddle and spatulas are labeled. Nothing with gluten ever touches our friars. The fried Baja fish tacos and the fried chicken are both always GF. The food is absolutely delicious. We do a world-class level tiki bar program with fresh juices, house-made syrups, and all real ingredients. We also have GF ciders and seltzers behind the bar.
