The cashier said that the chefs clean the grill before they make the gluten free french toast and that everyone is very knowledgeable, we ended up going twice !! (we went in june 2023 but plan to go again this year, i forgot to write a review)

Breakfast was delicious, gf not written on in person menu but staff seemed very comfortable talking about options and understanding the requests. gluten free french toast came with four REGULAR SIZED slices and was delicious and very reasonable priced. Would go back!

My breakfast was great here! They seem to have a good understanding of gluten. I was a bit worried about cross contamination, as when you see them cooking in the back it looks like the same items containing wheat may touch the same surfaces. Just be aware of that. They offer GF toast, omelettes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and grits.

I went in because of the reviews, but this place is sadly not safe for a celiac. They have GF options, but the eggs are the only thing cooked/prepared separately. I spoke with a few different people, and all confirmed the bacon/sausage and even the GF toast is cooked/made alongside gluten items. I almost got their granola, but the oats are not certified GF. I was bummed as a celiac to not be able to eat. But if you are just GF and unconcerned of cross contamination, it seems like a great option!

Went to both Stack ‘Em High locations while in the area. Make sure you go to the Kill Devils Hill location, as they have the gf options (gf bread for toast and French toast, which was delicious), they will also ask if it’s for allergy and will take precautions. The Kitty Hawk location does not offer gf options and is under different management.

Staff was very knowledgeable. There is not a gf menu or section on the board but when asked they offer gf French toast as a swap even on the kids menu. Enjoyed my French toast with cinnamon and powdered sugar, egg and bacon without any issues!!

Great little family run place. Had the gf French toast with bacon. Very accommodating for food allergies. Great service and very friendly. Would definitely eat here again.

Didn’t have gf options listed on the board but if you ask, they have gf toast. I had French Toast with eggs and bacon. They brought it out separate so I knew it was gf. It is a cafe style ordering line but the atmosphere is a fun, family-friendly place.

I got sick here eating salad, steak and broccoli even though they made me a gluten free salad dressing. Definitely subject to cross contamination.

I didn't see gluten free options on the menu board but they had a sign that said to tell them about food allergies and when I did so, they offered to substitute gluten free toast for the regular toast that came with the breakfast. They said they prepared it separately so they don't cross contaminate. The breakfast was amazing and we had a great experience!
Friendly, family atmosphere. Very clean. Great price.

Really nice people. The place was packed but the line moved quickly. There are no GF pancakes, waffles, muffins or French Toast at the Kill Devil Hills location. Will have to call the Kitty Hawk location to check there.

We ate here on vacation. I had eggs and a muffin, as the gf muffin was prepackaged. Eggs were cooked on a different grill from the other stuff so they were fairly safe. Potatoes were on one side of a grill also used for pancakes, so not worth the risk of cross contamination for me. Eggs and gf muffin were good and didn't get sick!
They don't offer pancakes or waffles gluten free! Search elsewhere if you have your heart set on those. It's a neat beachy atmosphere and my omelet was good.
They do not offer any GF bread items, but everything else on the menu is GF. The omelets are amazing and the potatoes are fantastic! The pancakes are made in the same kitchen, but on a separate grill.
