We were told by the owner last summer that they place the gf crust pizzas on the same surface as their regular pizza and that their ovens "burn off the gluten, so it's no problem." We told him that's not possible, and had to leave. Our daughter has celiac, and this is just odd and unacceptable.

If you're celiac don't eat here. If you're not sensitive, it's a great choice. I ate half my pizza before realizing they place the pizza directly into the oven on the same surface as other pizzas after using ingredients they place their floury hands into. Again, lots of options if you aren't sensitive. I asked them to be very careful about cross contamination the assured me they take all the precautions. They don't. Also, it's very expensive.

I went here several times and pizza was great. They made sure pizza was gluten free. The last time I went in there last month I got a pizza that made me sick as a dog. They either cross contaminated or used regular dough or just didn't care. I sent a email letting them know what happen and that it made me sick all night in a ball on the floor. I know it was the pizza because thats all I ate that day. They never responded to email. Which tells me they don't care. If they did then they would have responded and advised the kitchen on the mistake. Hey mistakes happen, it's what you do when they happen. Stuzzi did nothing. I would not recommend going there if you have celiac like I do.

The Gluten Free pasta with the marinara sauce and grilled chicken at Stuzzi was amazing!!! The sauce was so packed with flavor and the gluten-free noodles were so perfect that I did not even miss the fact that I can not have cheese or gluten on the fast metabolism diet that I am doing! Thanks for providing RVA foodies with such yummy choices!!!

The food is incredibly expensive, the gluten-free pizza really isn't that great, and the kitchen is cross contamination city. Celiacs would be very wise to stay away. Mellow Mushroom is just a few blocks away if you want pizza in Carytown...

I had issues with management at this location. GFree pizza was good, but I have had much better. Go to mellow mushroom around the corner instead.

Buyer beware! Food was decent but the meal was ruined when they scammed us on the tab. The server said he "accidentally" put our neighbor's meal on our check, but that the totals were roughly equal. Well, actually it came out to $20 more, but we had guests with us and I figured they were disorganized but harmless.

When I told this story to a friend, however, he mentioned that similar episodes had already happened twice to people he knew. And that's when I realized. This was nothing more than a two-bit scam. I know it's tough to run a business, but come on, don't do this to customers. This would have been a 4 star review had I not been treated this way. Richmond deserves better.

When I'm hankering for pizza I eat at one to two places: The Daily or Stuzzi. Next to The Daily, Stuzzi has the best GF pizza in town.

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE GLUTEN INTOLERANT. Struzzi's is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to as a gluten-free diner. It's worse than one that doesn't offer gf options, because at least you know what you're getting at those places! I watched the gf pizza I ordered be prepared on a counter covered in flour by a prep cook who had gloves covered in flour, using ingredients that had been dipped into after he covered his hands and the counter in flour (something he does before every batch of pizzas). I pointed this out to my server and she tried to help me get a pizza prepared, but the owner refused to have the prep cook change his gloves. I also asked about what is advertised as a "separate gf pasta station" and was told it doesn't actually exist. Then a manager told me "you just shouldn't eat here if you're really sensitive." Yeah--I definitely won't.

Absolutely incredible food overall! Authentic true Italian. Best GF pizza I have ever had, and I am a Celiac diagnosed in 2004. Service was great and staff very knowledgeable about GF. Our waiter's sister has Celiac also. Decor is casual and nothing special but was not out for a big date night or anything.

Stuzzi Pizzeria is very nice and cozy. It wasn't super busy when we came in, and the waiter took good care of us considering he was working alone at the time. The staff consisted of 15 people in the group and everyone's orders were submitted in advance. Everyone's food looked good and the hot dishes were served just that......HOT. I had the CALAMARI FRITTA and it was very good. Overall great place, and great service. Will definitely go back again...

I went for lunch and was amazed. Pizza was incredible and the EGGPLANT PARMESAN on tap was the best ever. Service was fast and friendly and the place was clean. It was definitely the best value for the anywhere, and I've eaten at all those restaurants. I will be going back...soon!! Thanks Stuzzi Pizzeria for an incredible experience in the middle of my work day...I Love You.

Really good food and cheap prices. It is cafeteria style, but who cares. Its good and cheap. The pizza is good. The pastas and lasagne are both good. The garlic bread is great and you have to try the gelato on your way out.

If you are looking for a very casual and relaxing atmosphere, Stuzzi Pizzeria could be for you. I work for a major hotel chain and this spot is highly recommended, not only by myself but co workers. Prompt seating and family friendly service help make this restaurant highly recommended able.

Gluten free is sooo hard to find that is amazing and tonight's meal was amazing. My husband and I shared a pizza and a a vodka based pasta. Both were the best I've had yet. Loved the atmosphere as well. Very quaint and comforting. Highly recommend.
