Probably my favorite place to eat in Ottawa. Best sushi I've had so far! I'm very sensitive and eat here very often. Never had any issues so far :)

Comfortable, safe, and delicious experience. Staff took precautions seriously and spent the effort explaining how they clean the surfaces, use new utensils, and change gloves. They did not have GF soy sauce so did not provide and staff were unsure about whether a particular sauce I had ordered was GF so put it in a side container for me. The sushi was very fresh.

The sushi was amazing! They use different utensils and change gloves when preparing the gluten-free sushi and reassured me they changed and cleaned everything when bringing out my order.

It was okay but very simple. They charge 1.50$ for gf soy sauce. They called twice to make sure everything was being prepared correctly and everything was identified on my box. No guarantee that there is not cross contamination.

There is a seperate GF menu that shows which items can be made gf and also explains the precautions that will be taken (change if gloves, new knives etc) when we placed or order, the server also emphasized what precautions would be taken and we heard him say to the sushi chefs that it was a gluten free order.

The food is fresh and delicious - my daughter and I shared a platter of various sushi, nigri, and sashimi and truly enjoyed every mouthful.

Highly recommended.

They were super careful for celiac. Reassured me before hand and after about their practice. I felt assured they were kept me safe because they needed more time to fulfill their protocol of changing knives, cutting board, washing and new gloves. You get a bag of 5 clearly labeled soy sauce packages and they let me read the wasabi ingredients myself which were naturally GF.

Excellent sushi! They had cross-contact practices on the menu which staff reinforced.

Felt very safe and quality was very good.

After reading the reviews I tried Sushi Fresh in person a couple of weeks ago. When I asked for the gluten free menu they immediately started wiping down the counter tops and offered me gluten free tamari instead of soy sauce - I didn’t even have to ask! After that great experience I ordered again from them through Uber eats. I noted “Allergy: Gluten (celiac)” and ordered gluten free soy sauce packets. The food was wonderful! Each box came with a label that said “We will try our best to accommodate your allergy (Cannot guarantee 100%). *Change sushi mat, gloves, rice. *Clean cutting board knife. Please note that this may affect preparation time of your order.” I will be ordering again!!

Their staff understood the importance of having no cross contamination. Say that you can’t have gluten it is serious like an allergy, im not sure if they know what celiac is I didn’t lead with that. They have a gluten free menu and will prepare the sushi on a clean mat, change their gloves, use a clean plate and utensils etc if you tell them its serious. Obviously they give no guarantee since its not a dedicated facility. I was fine after eating there. They also have gluten free soy sauce!
