Sweet Marie's Hawaii

Location is closed and completely cleaned out. What a flake and a huge disappointment. I dragged my whole non-GF family to get something to eat on our plane flight home. If you're closed take down your damn website and let people know when call that you are closed.

Kind of qwerky place but the gluten free food is great. If you call in advance, she will prepare meals for you.

Marie herself ended up helping us. Very quaint location and the chocolate macaroons are so yummy. We ended up getting lunch to go (back bean chili over brown rice). Nice to have a safe meal at the start of our trip. She even gave us some salad dressing to go when I told her salads would be my safe GF option for my trip.

I had high hopes for this place. 100% celiac friendly it is, but bakery seems more of a stretch. It's a counter with about 6 variety of gf muffins and 2 cookies. The muffin was really good and huge and Marie herself served us, but if you come here looking for gf bread, or other exotic treats keep looking.

Delicious food (ate lunch there, getting another meal for dinner, grabbing breakfast and dessert too!) Both the meals and the sweets are available with or without milk and other allergens and they also have a nice vegan selection.

Marie is very kind, friendly, and helpful as is her staff!

On top of everything else, Marie just offered to make anything we wanted sugar free!!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about Sweet Marie's Hawaii!!!

So good! Breakfast sandwich and andouille frittata were amazing. The coffee cake muffin was the best I've ever had. Quaint atmosphere and Marie is great. She's so friendly and personable, made our experience very enjoyable.Will be coming back for sure!

Everything we had was super delicious! My chicken salad sandwich was perfect as was the cheese pizza my husband got. He's not gluten intolerant so I know it's a good place when he wants to come back just as much as I do! We stocked up on some granola, muffins, and cookies and will definitely come back for a meal before we leave. Marie is lovely and a wealth of information about eating gf on Kauai.

delicious and entirely gluten free! also I was new to the island, so i asked for info on grocery. the owner was so helpful, writing out a list of restaurants and markets I should go to!

The food was ok, the staff was horrible. I was so excited to hear about a dedicated GF restaurant. When we got there we were the only ones and the owner was on her cell phone or ordering the staff around the entire time. We were embarrassed for her. While we were waiting for our check (which we had to ask for because they were so non observant) other guests came in and were also ignored or told to "hold on" while the owner finished up her call. Eventually one of the tables just got up and left. I will never go back. Ever.

Fabulous food and so amazing it's completely gluten free. I tried many items and even pre-ordered my sandwich on the morning of my flight (2 miles from Lihue airport) when they opened so I knew what the specials were. The cafe is located next to the old Lihue Theatre marquis and next to Hilo Hattie's. I mention this because the Google maps tried to take me to Rice St. which is incorrect. Tried morning glory muffins ( my fav), snicker doodle, brownies, chicken salad sandwich, potato salad.

Awesome!! I bake and so I am extremely picky! This place is a true gem. Even if you aren't gluten free this is great!

amazing snickerdoodles...amazing muffins. ..the flour mix is proprietary and I would never ask but I will eat and enjoy..I hope you do as well

we asked what was in the flour is: rice flour almond flour ect.. lady said its a secret but then its printed on the ingredients card. super weird.. snicker doodle was delicious

Very good GF find while vacationing on Kauai! awesome GF goodies, breakfast and lunch. I only wish they had a dinner menu too.

After reading the reviews, had to check this place out for myself. Was warmly greeted by Marie herself. Shared our Celiac stories. I had a BLT with cheese on toasted bread. Delicious!! Marie brought me one of her vanilla cupcakes to enjoy with my coffee while waiting for our order. Delicious!! The only thing bad I have to say is, "why can't you be in California?" A wonderful find for a traveling Celiac!! Will definitely return before our vacation ends :-)

Good safe, dedicated gf place to go, the muffins are okay and everything there is slightly overpriced. But the owner is so nice and willing to accommodate to what you want, I got the lilikoi cake and she even squeezed the juice for the sauce that morning and it was ono-licous!!!

Everything on their menu is gluten free! I loved loved the chicken salad sandwich. Very tasty and I liked that it was Udis bread and was even toasted. Potato salad was great too. Brownie was awesome!!! Did not like the chocolate chip cookies sadly. Banana muffin was much better though. Very friendly place and staff!

Such a relief to eat somewhere and not have to worry!

The baked good looked really yummy, and many places in the area carry her fresh GF cookies.

Marie was there and came out to chat for a while.
