Definitely not gluten free friendly. I have tried eating there a few times and continue to get exposed. Never again.

I'm not celiac but I had no issues. Staff knowledgeable and helped me choose my meat (not all are GF). Got a taco platter with grilled chicken and siracha coleslaw. Super tasty! Spicy! Loved it!

Was told all meats not gluten free due to marinades.

I've been to this Taco Mama's, and it's okay. My brother works at one owned by the creator of the company. The shredded chicken and barbacoa are not gf. The corn tortillas are safe, however there is a high risk of cross contamination here. Be careful, and communicate well with whoever is taking your order!

The chicken is NOT gf because it is marinated in beer. The rice and beans are NOT gf.

The staff is very friendly and kind and the gf options were good, BUT the food tasted like I could have made it myself in my own kitchen, it wasn't anything special. Its still nice to have a place to eat out safely at though.

The staff is very friendly and knowledge about contamination concerns, plus the food is delicious! I visited several times during my week in Huntsville. Tuesday are half price margaritas!

Restaurant offers broad variety of freshly prepared Mexican (TexMex) food with a knowledgeable staff who quickly identified the few non-GF items. My wife (gluten- and dairy-free) was able to have totally compliant nachos for first time in over a year. She was so impressed with the place that we will be going back soon. Other members of party had other menu items that were just as flavorful and well seasoned. An outstanding new restaurant in Huntsville!!

Manager was awesome and honest about potential of cross contamination with chips and hard shells. Recommended soft corn tortillas for beef tacos and the rice. No signs of gluten exposure following meal!

The chicken is NOT gluten free, but every other meat is. Make sure you tell them you have celiac! In Gardendale specifically- they know what it is! When I tell them, I don’t get sick. I always order the nachos with ground beef and almost everything on it. I don’t ask for anything grilled just because I want as little to touch the grill as possible!

They are very knowledgeable. You can only get a bowl if your are cross contamination sensitive. Been a 3 times and never been sick and able to change it up each time

The cashier at Taco Mama was SO knowledgeable. I guess I had looked at the GF menu of a different Taco Mama so I said I had celiac and wanted the Nachos and she immediately corrected me and said that this restaurant is the only one in the chain that has a shared fryer so the chips are not gluten free. I ordered the chicken tacos and she made sure I got the chicken NOT cooked in beer. When she put in the order she said “ok let me go tell everyone to change their gloves” without me asking her to. So sweet! I have very sensitive celiac and didn’t have an issue.

Went here and they are gluten friendly. They are not, however, dairy free friendly. So if you are like me and have trouble with gluten and dairy I do not recommend this place. The chicken, ground beef, retired beans, and guac all have dairy in them.
