The menu indicates that certain rice noodle dishes and chicken entrees can be made without gluten. We ordered online and indicated to please prepare the rice noodle and chicken entrees with no gluten. The dishes themselves were marked as being “made without soy” (I’m assuming meaning made without soy sauce). Unfortunately, within two hours of eating dinner, my daughter got very, very sick. The only other time we have seen my daughter react similarly in the last 2 years is when she straight up ate gluten flour tortillas on accident, so I’m guessing there must have either been a mistake in our order or extreme cross contamination with gluten. This is extremely disappointing because it was one of our favorite restaurants before half of my family was diagnosed with Celiac. Unfortunately we can no longer go there at all :(

Usually Taigu does a good job with gluten free food however this time they put in “a little soy sauce” into my meal.
It was very disappointing because the ticket said Gluten Free all over it, I asked them before I received the order whether it was gluten free and they reassured me that it was. It wasn’t until I took a bite that something seemed off. When I called to confirm, due to being concerned, it turns out they put “a little soy sauce” in my meal.
Long story short - I got sick. Accidents happen so hope they put measures in place to avoid this in the future

I explained that my daughter and I have Celiac Disease, and that we could have nothing that contained soy sauce, flour, etc. They have a couple of rice noodle options. They can also substitute non-breaded meats for their recipes that normally are breaded, like General Tso’s. They were also to make their Hot and Sour Twice-Cooked Pork with Cabbage without soy sauce. It was amazing. This was the first Chinese we’ve had since our diagnosis. Taigu was a family favorite prior to gluten free and I’m so excited they are an option again. Neither of us had any reaction to our meals.
