Staff seemed knowledgeable but there must have been cross contamination or the server was just coming up with answers. Within 30 minutes of eating I was very sick and have felt out of it for multiple days. This isn’t the first time that this has happened. Also has no corn tortillas so tacos (which used to be my fav) are not an option

I’ve tried eating here 2x and got sick both times.. I will say the cheese dip is GF, but can’t have the chips. They’ll bring you veggies to dip in the cheese which is oddly satisfying! But yea, staff isn’t very knowledgeable and I don’t think the kitchen is as careful as we require..
No
You really don't need a separate menu for this restaurant. In terms of the tacos, get a lettuce wrap. A lot of the tacos are available to be gluten free. They have a cilantro lime chicken that is gluten-free or you can get many of the other options without the sauce because the sauce is a soy sauce that has wheat in it. They have rice and beans for sides and their salad dressing choices are good and most of them are gluten-free as well. The server was very knowledgeable and the chef in the kitchen was as well.
No gluten free menu, no corn tortillas, BUT the staff is super knowledgeable and understanding of what does and does not contain gluten, which in my book is far more valuable than a restaurant with a gluten free menu but ignorant employees or cooks. They still have very limited options for celiac meals though.
Yes
No gluten free options and zero knowledge from staff on GF or Celiac, we had to get up and leave.
No
No separate menu, but servers were knowledgeable about what was gf and what could be prepared gf. No corn shells. No dedicated fryer.
Very limited options for gluten free. Normally tacos are a safe bet, but this restaurant only offers lettuce wraps for tacos. Most items have to be made without the seasoning. No steak options. They did have a menu to explain gluten free options. Again very limited for a taqueria.

I order the southwest salad with cilantro lime dressing, grilled chicken, and no cheese or tortilla strips. Be sure to tell them you have a gluten allergy and they will make your salad in a new bowl. I have also had their tacos on corn tortillas with no issues.

Thry gve me a gluten free menu. I had a rice bowl. It was very good! Ended up with some sensitivity so possible cross contamination. 🤷🏽♀

I ordered off their ‘gf menu’ and was sick in less than an hour after eating. My server was aware, but apparently something went sideways. The food is good, just beware. Hours later and I’m still paying for it.

The Taqueria Tsunami in Marietta was so careful about being GF that l was exciting about trying this location when l moved to Athens. Unfortunately, this location doesn’t try to be GF at all, and they definitely aren’t Celiac friendly. They use GF as a marketing term only. The mgr that l spoke to recommended that l not eat there, so I didn’t. That’s a shame because they could be GF if they wanted to.
