The Taqueria Tsunami in Marietta was so careful about being GF that l was exciting about trying this location when l moved to Athens. Unfortunately, this location doesn’t try to be GF at all, and they definitely aren’t Celiac friendly. They use GF as a marketing term only. The mgr that l spoke to recommended that l not eat there, so I didn’t. That’s a shame because they could be GF if they wanted to.

There gluten free menu was very limited and not celiac friendly. I ended up with a rash all over my legs after ordering from their gluten free menu and letting them know I had celiac.

I forgot to order the tacos in a lettuce shell and the waiter went right back and fixed it for me.
Yes
No gluten free menu as stated. The modifications are such that I wish I had gone somewhere else. No corn tortillas so tacos are lettuce wraps. Very disappointed.
Waiter very knowledgeable. We were just stopping by for a snack. Yuca with either southwest or honey sriracha sauce were great ( waiter brought sample of each)
No actual options on the GF menu. Plain proteins in lettuce wraps only. No chips, no tortillas, No sauce. Couldn’t find anything to feed my kids. We left before ordering. Wait staff was kind, atmosphere lovely, but we planned a family event here because of the high GF rating, and unless they expand their menu, it’s not really worth the trip.
Manager and staff very helpful and took my concerns seriously.

The guy who created the GF menu is one of waiters and his wife and daughter are both GF, so he has a pretty good understanding of things like cross contamination and whatnot. They’re extremely accommodating. I usually get a bowl and the edamame for an app. We are allowed to bring our own GF chips too so that I can enjoy the delicious queso & guac! I love this place!

Been here 3 times this weekend from out of town. Staff was knowledgeable especially Faye on my first visit, she was awesome! Certain tacos on lettuce are gluten free and others can be modified to be gluten free. Also, some bowls are gluten free and I believe all of the salads. I got two tacos, the Pacific rim without the aioli sauce substituted for Chipotle sour cream and the Chipotle lime chicken, as is, both on lettuce with a side of beans and rice. For a price of $9. I have celiac and did not have any issues but made it clear that cannot have any cross contamination. The only negative was the hostess could be more helpful and happy but I didn't ding them in the rating for her attitude.
Very limited options for gluten free. Normally tacos are a safe bet, but this restaurant only offers lettuce wraps for tacos. Most items have to be made without the seasoning. No steak options. They did have a menu to explain gluten free options. Again very limited for a taqueria.

I order the southwest salad with cilantro lime dressing, grilled chicken, and no cheese or tortilla strips. Be sure to tell them you have a gluten allergy and they will make your salad in a new bowl. I have also had their tacos on corn tortillas with no issues.

Thry gve me a gluten free menu. I had a rice bowl. It was very good! Ended up with some sensitivity so possible cross contamination. 🤷🏽♀

I ordered off their ‘gf menu’ and was sick in less than an hour after eating. My server was aware, but apparently something went sideways. The food is good, just beware. Hours later and I’m still paying for it.

Staff seemed knowledgeable but there must have been cross contamination or the server was just coming up with answers. Within 30 minutes of eating I was very sick and have felt out of it for multiple days. This isn’t the first time that this has happened. Also has no corn tortillas so tacos (which used to be my fav) are not an option
