This place has quite a few GF options and everything tasted really good. GF items are marked on the menu. Apparently, kahlua pork sliders (not GF, my son had them) are outstanding. I had Mahi with fried rice and it was delicious. The service was really slow, even for Hawaii, hence 4 stars and not 5. Would definitely eat there again.

Had a great experience working with our server to find celiac safe options. We went back a second time for the laidback atmosphere.
Most of the time I was telling him what I needed to be safe - cook tortillas and ahi in a separate pan, check sauces, etc. He was willing to take direction and work with the chef.
Definitely get the ahi tacos. The chef made a special sauce for the slaw so it would be celiac safe.
Skip the ahi fried rice. It comes premarinated so they subbed normal white rice and it was just your run of the mill protein with fried rice.

Options listed GF on the menu - great choices, and server was super knowledgeable, they notify the kitchen and cooked my corn tortillas in a separate pan, and they were delicious!

We ate lunch here and items were clearly marked “gf”. The kids had the fried rice and I had a salad. My husband had the fish tacos which he liked. Everything was fresh! It was about $100 for a family of four with an appetizer (rice wraps- also gf). It’s pool side and casual but they can do gluten free!

They really are not gluten friendly. The wait staff does not even know about the gluten free options on the menu and act very annoyed when you ask about specifics.

This place was great. Fun outdoor restaurant atmosphere right by a pool. I had the summer rolls and the shrimp tacos (both labeled GF). I have celiac and am also dairy intolerant, and had no issues. The food was good, especially the summer rolls, yum!

Good restaurant but no gf fryer so you can’t get french fries if you’re celiac (a previous review said they had a dedicated fryer but they don’t). They have gf buns and can alter menu items to make gf. Food and drinks were delicious. A good casual spot to stop at near Poipu. This is my new go to location when I’m on the island

Dedicated fryer for French fries. I had the only sweet potato fries I’d had on the island. There were some decent options, gluten free buns, and the server marked “gluten allergy” on my order. I did not get sick unlike at some other places around here.
A few menu options that are gluten free. I ordered the fish tacos and the cook (Tony) came out and discussed substitution options to ensure that the whole dish is gluten free, even creating a special sauce for me. He was very helpful and kind, plus it was absolutely delicious!
Bar tender unwilling to check if salad dressing was gluten free. So we left....disappointed
What a surprise Cabana Grill was especially after going to 5 other restaurants that couldn’t offer much in the way of safe and tasty choices. Not a fancy place, very casual, situated at an athletic club and active pool. The waitress and cook were very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and we had no stomach problems after our meal. We are extremely sensitive with celiac so we will be eating there again!

Small grill restaurant inside Poipu Beach Athletic Club, surprised to see a varied lunch menu, with gf items clearly marked and gf buns available for burgers. Server forgot my bun and had to remake (my pet peeve is having to micro-manage gf in restaurants) but very tasty bahn mih burger. Good cocktails too
