Menu clearly marked and they have options for gf sandwiches and pizza. I have been a fan of this place for years but I went the other day and I gotta say I'm not as impressed with the taste. They also no longer have their gf garlic knots which were the best thing I've ever tasted. They replaced it with cheesy bread but it wasn't great. They've rebranded from the couch tomato cafe to "the tomato shack"

I’m a reactive celiac (among other digestive issues) and ate here without any problems! The woman at the counter also had celiac which immediately put me at ease while ordering. The pizza crust was fluffy, like others have said, which was a welcome change from the normal crispy GF crust. I also have a dairy allergy, and the cheese was so good (which is sadly, honestly not normal) that I found myself questioning if it wasn’t actually dairy-free. It was lovely to take my non-celiac son to dinner & be able to eat together! It’s not often enough this is possible. Will come again!

My son & I are celiac and we have gotten their pizza twice in the last few months and loved it. The crust is fluffy, which is a nice change from other gluten free pizza we have had. It was reminiscent of our pregluten-free days. The staff was friendly & helpful. We are thankful for them serving the West Chester community.

Although we are not a certified gluten-free facility, we do train our team on many precautions for avoiding cross contamination. However, there is flour in the air from our pizza menu. If you have a life threatening allergy, as much as we do want your business AND do take cross contamination seriously, please understand that human error may occur and therefore it may not be entirely safe to dine in a restaurant that has gluten within its walls.
love the pizza here- it’s gf but not thin crust it fluffy!

The last time I was here was before my diagnosis a few years ago. I went today and go the only salad labeled gf (i’m sure others could be gf without certain items). All dressings are stated to be gluten free. I have Celiac and react almost immediately. I reacted shortly after eating my salad. Read the “from the owner” after I ate here. Would not recommend to anyone with Celiac.

This place helped me figure out that I have a wheat allergy not just a gluten allergy. If you’re celiac you’ll be fine but if you have issues with wheat I would not recommend it. They use de-glutenized wheat in their pizza dough and I got very ill twice from it. My friend who is celiac split the meal with me and she was totally fine!

I want to set expectations here, as I was surprised. The gluten free “bread” is terrible. You literally cannot even eat a sandwich on it. There are so many good options on the market right now, even locally such as Taffets so it’s disappointing. The GF pizza is also awful. One of their employees messed up my sisters (regular) sandwich and was so incredibly rude my sister didn’t feel comfortable eating it. Really unprofessional and won’t return. At first I felt bad writing this review but she was so rude i felt it was ok to share my honest option about the GF bread.

They are safe about cross contamination but I’ve been here twice and both times the gluten free pizza crust was soggy and tasted undercooked. The garlic knots also tasted really doughy and undercooked

We ordered the gluten free garlic knots and a gluten free sandwich. We marked gluten allergy on our order. The garlic knots which were 10.99 for a good for 8-10 were amazing!! And they only charged an extra .49 cents for gluten free bread which is awesome and unheard of if you have ever ordered gluten free bread as a substitute. My daughter has celiacs disease and we would go back here.

Fresh and delicious! I got the garlic cheese sticks and couldn't tell it was gluten free. Appreciate all the GF options. Will be returning for sure.
For gluten-free options, this restaurant really goes above and beyond. The pizzas taste like "real" pizza, and I appreciate the range of choices. A great place to go if you're gluten-free!

Garlic knots and short rib pizza were both delicious. The man taking my order asked if it was gluten free for an allergy, put an allergy alert in the order, and told me he would keep my food separate and safe from my boyfriend's gluten full pizza order. Fresh ingredients with plenty of options! We'll be back!

My husband and I had lunch here. Food Pyramid salad was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend. Will be back!
This place is one of our local favorites! Im a bit of a pizza snob and this pizza always tastes super fresh, balanced and delicious. Service has always been top notch and the rewards program makes eating at this place even more satisfying. I've ordered delivery from here before as well and the quality is consistent and the food has always come before within or before the expected time frame.

Not at all celiac friendly. I was poisoned here on my valentines date with my husband. A menu item was clearly marked gluten free and when I suspected that it was not and asked the waitress to check, she was horrified! The dumplings were NOT gluten free at all! This was not a case of mistakenly using the wrong product, it was pure carelessness on the part of the people creating the menu items. It's a damn shame these people PAY customers to leave reviews. I was sick for WEEKS.

Harvest Salad Bowl was delicious. Celiac safe. Would recommend.

The staff is great about allergens. Food is excellent, I recommend the cheesy bread. All healthy options are also amazing.

Been here many times with no issue. So good!

I love the options, the food, and the care that goes into recognizing an "allergy," but unfortunately I still faced cross-contamination today and have been dealing with symptoms of being glutened. This is on one occasion out of the handful of times I have been there, so I may return but will proceed with caution.
Best salads and pizzas! Highly recommend for healthy and organic options.

Pizza was great. Crust is a little on the sweeter side, but delicious. Very knowledgeable staff.

I really love Couch Tomato! Great pizza and soup and salad!! Although i’ve never tried a sandwich because i’m not a sandwich person, I constantly hear great things about it!! Can’t go wrong with couch tomato cafe!!

I love Couch Tomato because they are vegan friendly! They have great dairy free cheese and even a chicken alternative! Sooo yummy on pizza or a sandwich or even added on top of a salad! All ingredients are so fresh as well and taste amazing. I love the create your own options as well because you can customize a pizza, sandwich or salad to your liking!
I love to eat at the Couch Tomato Cafe in downtown W.C. area. It's conveniently located right on the main strip where I go when I'm hungry. Good pizza, vegan options, vegetarian options, and gluten-free options. I even tried WIFI out and easily connected to free internet during my meal. Thanks!

Couch tomato is an amazing place to eat in West Chester! They have amazing soups, salads, pizzas, and sandwiches. I would go there everyday if I could! It is a great place to eat lunch and dinner.
The Couch Tomato is my family's number one spot for dining out in West Chester. The food is high quality and fantastic. I have never had a better gluten-free pizza than the one at Couch Tomato. No others compare. If you prefer salad, there is nothing I crave more on a weekly basis than a cobb salad from The Couch Tomato. It's awesome. On nice days we like to enjoy family time eating on the roof top deck. A+ for atmosphere and friendly staff, too!

Love Couch Tomato so much!! Salads are amazing and so filling! Recommend to anybody in the area as a go to for takeout and casual lunch/dinner! My sister has celiac's and this is her favorite restaurant in town to get amazing gluten-free meals.

Couch tomato is amazing! The food is so fresh, healthy and tasty. The environment is amazing and the outdoor rooftop is beautiful. The staff is also so friendly and helpful. They always make sure that the customer is happy!

Tomato soup is AMAZING! As far as gf goes, it appears to be the same dough for everything: bread, garlic knots, pizza crust ect. I really appreciate that they offer this, it jist needs some experimenting with the cooking temperature and time. Everything gf I got was crispy and golden on the outside but undercooked and raw on the inside. I really appreciate that they offer gf options though and will try it again in a bit when they've hopefully improved the cooking method.

I've eaten here countless times and been completely fine. But today I got glutened. A shame, because they are known to be one of the most celiac friendly places in the area. I'll eat there again, but use my Nima sensor in the future.
Very good food, and a ton of options to add on to your pizza or salad. Definitely easy to find a good meal you can eat here. And BYOB 👌🏼

I had a sandwich & pizza on two separate evenings. They were great! The staff also clearly identified my food for allergy concerns.
The staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing, as well as the drinks! I highly recommend the cheesy bread sticks.

So many options to choose from, I enjoy all of their items whether it be pizza, salad, or a sandwich! I have been going for years and have yet to get tired of it. Definitely recommend the cheesy breadsticks too :)

This is one of my favorite places to eat, whether it's for dine-in or take-out. Their food is always fresh, delicious, and unique. I highly recommend the pizza (especially the American Pie) or their fresh salads and sandwiches. They have a ton of gluten free options - almost everything can be replaced and their GF bread is delicious. Great place for friends, families, or couples. Highly recommend.

Couch Tomato has been phenomenal in all respects from catering, to dine-in, to takeout. Food is always fresh, always delicious. Friendly staff. Plenty of GF options!

The Couch Tomato is a great place to grab lunch or dinner! Every time I go I try to get something new. It is so hard to choose from all the delicious options on the menu! So far I have tried all of the seasonal menu items, all were so good. Their Gluten Free bread is AMAZING, the best I have had. The gluten free pizza crust is also great.
The iconic grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is to die for. I highly recommend that with gluten-free bread.
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.
