This place used to have a gluten free menu, but they got rid of it. Our server said they'd ditched it because there was hardly anything on it, but I'm guessing that the real reason was that they're not willing to take any precautiins whatsoever. My server had no idea what gluten is, what foods have it, or how cross contamination works. We worked with the chef to figure out substitutions so I could eat *something*, anything, I didn't know they'd withdrawn the gf menu and I was soooo hungry (the server acted as a go-between, the chef didn't come out to talk to me). Even making all the necessary substitutions (which resulted in my meal being pathetic anyway), there was 100% definitely gluten cross contamination all over everything. 0/10, celiacs should stay far away from this place.

This restaurant doesn’t belong on this listing at all. The server did their best to be helpful but, the kitchen wasn’t very informed. No gluten free menu, no gluten free help. Lots of guessing left me feeling very unsafe.

GF menu is very limited. There is not a dedicated fryer. No bread or buns so the burger is just a hamburger patty.

GF menu is very limited, and I still felt horrible after the supposed GF curry, so I can't say it's safe.

The gf menu isn't extensive and no sandwiches or bread. But I had a chicken over rice meal that was decent and served hot. Ambience/decor is really fun. Felt like I was in York!

We were pleased to find this British style pub and they were able to accommodate my gluten-free diet and my husband's vegetarianism. My chicken curry with vegetables was delicious, and my husband also liked his veggie quesadillas. Highly recommended.
