It is a lively atmosphere with Elton John music and very happy, gay couples. The food was lovely and safe for my extremely sensitive and high maintenance wife.

Charming local spot! The whole menu is gluten free. It is not advertised as such and flour is rare in true Mexican style cuisine

The meal was fine and the server stated the only items with gluten in the restaurant was the bread. The bread is kept in a warmer and not in the preparation area so cross contamination should not be an issue. The food was ok, nothing super exciting (but kinda expensive). I had food for 1 with no drinks and a $3 tip and it was $28.

Atmosphere was nice.

Very strong infused drinks just warning you. The food was fresh and yummy. My girls even branched out and tried new items. The shrimp tacos are so delicious. We also enjoyed the regular guacamole.

January, 2017: Met a group of gals here who were in town for a conference. They accommodated a reservation request and the table was ready upon our arrival. The service was very nice and our server was able to make a lot of recommendations. The infused tequila is made in-house using fruits or peppers, etc. and gluten free. Again, I wish the menu was marked with GF options as most of the menu is GF and they do have vegetarian options marked. Still, the food was yummy and celiac safe.

June, 2015: Went on a date to The Fruiteria and was instantly at ease once I talked to the waiter and manager. The call ahead made me nervous but both waiter and manager were very knowledgable about gluten free and need to avoid cross contamination.Only 3 dishes on that night's menu were off limits for me. Tortilla chips are corn and made in a dedicated frier. Gluten free was communicated to the chef who took extra prep precautions to avoid any contamination. Delicious, fresh, gf food from a local gem! No ill effects afterwards - I'll definitely be going back! The reason for 4 vs 5 stars is I wish their gf menu items were marked (the vegetarian ones are identified on the menu).

I agree completely with the previous review. Lots of GF choices, all delicious, but I wish they were marked on the menu. We had mostly snacks and drinks, the sweet pecans and the spicy peanuts were both great. We will definitely go back!
