The staff was AMAZING and took my allergy very seriously and the Mac and cheese was SO good. I couldn’t even finish it all! Delicious and well worth the visit.

Gf options are marked on the menu as well as a few things that are Gf but labeled as not celiac safe. Waitress immediately asked our table if there were any allergies to know about when we sat down. Got the whipped feta and it was a 10/10. Their gf bread is good. Not a very big menu to begin with so there aren’t a lot of options. I would come back.

Food is fine. Limited GF offerings. But I haven’t gotten sick here, which is my primary issue as I have celiac.

I think this place has the most flavorful, fulfilling, innovative, nutritious, wonderful food in town, and yet I initially gave it 4 stars because it would be such a nicer experience to have a separate gf menu or at least gf markings. You have to work your way through a long gf discussion with the wait person in order figure out your options and see all the things you CAN'T eat (even tho gf options are. extensive, varied and delicious!) instead of thinking about just the wonderful possibilities and the persons you came to enjoy. ….But after yet another world class wonderful safe gf meal with both multiple wonderful gf entrees and gf deserts I can’t give The Green Well less than 5 stars.

ask your server for gluten free options ! and let them know what ur allergies are. i sat at the bar and got the michigan turkey sandwich & truffle fries. the kitchen got my order wrong, but they fixed it without hesitation and let me take the extra food home to my partner. would definitely eat here again! super yummy, and very accommodating.

Phenominal service for lunch from our waiter, Chandler. In-house menu does not have GF options indicated but the online menu does. The BBQ Pork & Polenta is fabulous and is a very generous portion (easily two meals for me). The Fuzzy Navel Seltzer is quite yummy, too! Highly recommended! (I would give it a cost rating of $$, rather than $$$, also.)

Very limited GF options. Overpriced Mac & cheese and most every other dish as well. Not as good as it used to be.

The staff was very knowledgeable about Gf and cross-contamination. I had the wild rice bowl which tasted so good I was sure I'd be sick later; but I wasn't! Will definitely be back for more!
This is one of our "regular" places to go when we want to eat out, which is not very often due to my food restrictions. I tend to stick to the same two items to order (the Brazilian Black Bean Stew or the Warm Kale Salad, which can both be modified if needed), especially when they are busy, just to ensure ease and my health safety, but they've always been able to accommodate and have done so willingly. I have never gotten sick (am Celiac, and additionally have a dairy allergy and tree nut allergy) and have had great service every single time. Highly recommend.

One of the best experiences hands-down. My wife has celiac, as well as soy and fairly allergies. The waitress knew the allergens inside and out and the food was absolutely delicious. Great beer selection for non-celiacs as well.

Wonderful place to eat without concerns! I would agree that it would be nice to have gf added to menu specifically. Staff are so helpful though it's not a problem!!

Delicious, interesting food. I've eaten here lots of times and never gotten sick. There is no GF menu, but the servers patiently talk you through the menu and point out what is safe.

Very accommodating. The staff is knowledgable and they can make most items GF. And the food is wonderful.
Fantastic food, atmosphere, service, music in artsy Uptown. I have lots of cross-contamination issues, no problem here. Very knowledgable and accommodating and I felt in good hands. Ate dinner and came back for lunch on an overnight stay. My new go-to whenever I'm in Grand Rapids. <3
Awesome. The service was fabulous, she was very knowledgeable about what was and was not gluten free. Nearly everything on the menu can be made gluten free. Amazing atmosphere too. You can tell the people there love what they do.

GF mozzarella sticks! Gf Sweet potato chips. The Cesar chicken pram sandwich is good on GF bread. Gf chocolate chip cookies. Very friendly service. Closes at three on Sunday.
So, so excellent. The servers don't always know if certain things are gf or not, but they seem well-trained about asking the chef. We've had the chef come out and ask how we liked everything before. They have gf alternatives for some items like their mac and cheese with risotto instead of pasta. I recommend the black bean stew.

Just went last night and was pleasantly surprised at how many options I could have, more than half the menu! Our server was very helpful in showing me what I could have. Ended up getting the fish tacos which were excellent! On the expensive side but still very good. GF beers (bottled) and cider on draft
