We stopped in but didn’t eat here because there are no gluten free substitute items - no buns, no dedicated fryer etc. (Teenagers with celiac don’t want to eat salad or burgers/sandwiches without bread.)

I would like to speak on behalf of us on Highlander, we offer a wide variety of gluten free options! Unfortunately we don’t offer gluten free flour for any fried options, but we are able to accommodate any allergy in our establishment. Our staff is very well educated and aware of what is/isn’t GF… including our delicious crème brûlée. If you are ever in our establishment and have celiac, please let your server know and we will gladly accommodate. Our owners are diabetic and understand the risks of medical safety in allergies.

Went to Highlanders because of the high safety rating and was VERY disappointed.
There is NO gluten-free menu. There is no dedicated fryer.
Our waitress noted our "gluten allergy" and had some helpful suggestions (burgers and sandwiches can be made wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun), but she kept saying that they don't make this or that anymore, when referring to the old gluten-free list (that she wouldn't let us read). We ordered the pork chops (no Guinness gravy), the sirloin steak, the avocado burger on lettuce buns, and the BLT on lettuce. The BLT and burgers arrived with fries, but the fries contained a piece of fried breading, so DEFINITELY NOT SAFE.
Afterwards several gluten sensitive and celiac persons in our party reported issues, so even the "safe" items were likely cross-contaminated.

This place is great! Many of menu items can be made gf. Just notify your server and they can let you know what you can or cannot eat. You can also send a Facebook message to the restaurant and they can share more information.
