Had lunch here today - my pretzel was so good I wanted to cry! As others have said, the entire menu aside from the stuffed pretzels, spicy beer mustard, and beer is/can be GF. Our server was very knowledgable and helpful. My caprese sandwich was delicious. My gluten-eating dining companion enjoyed the bratwurst. I would have loved to order more but sadly had no room. Oh yes this place has got it figured out. I haven’t had a soft pretzel since my celiac diagnosis and this was even better than 5 stars. The waiter was very knowledgeable. Pretty much all items except the stuffed pretzels can be made gluten free. Already planning my next vacation to get these pretzels again!

One of my favorite restaurants in the area. So good and very safe! Highly recommend. They are very knowledgeable and have different colored trays for GF pretzels for marking. I have been here many times and have never gotten sick.

Wow! Great selection of gluten free pretzels and pretzel sandwiches (or salads). We tried the everything pretzel, meatball sandwich (yes it’s GF!) and Cali Chicken sandwich. They were all amazing. Parking is limited on the street but there are several lots nearby ($20 for the day). Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Providence. You won’t be disappointed!

Loved this place so much. GF pretzels and GF pretzel buns. Gf cookie dough to dip your pretzel in. I also love that they use a different color basket so you know you’re getting GF.

AMAZING flavor, service, and options. We tried the grilled cheese, BLT, Turkey, and the meatball. ❤ If you’re trying to decide, the meatball was my favorite but they were all so yummy!

The Asiago pretzel with apricot butter is my favorite!! I learned this from the manager - red basket means gf AND the middle part of the pretzel braid should have more of twist. I actually received a non-gf pretzel in a different location after this tip so it really helped!!

If you want gluten free pretzels, this is the place to go. Most items are gluten free and while it can be hard to find menu markers, everything is pretty clear. The food tasted great and I throughly enjoyed everything about it. Not much more to say this place is just great. First time I’ve had pretzels in ages outside of frozen ones and it was well worth it!

These guys go out of their way with gluten free pretzels!!! They do a double twist and being the pretzel out in a red basket to signify that it’s gf. So good. Especially if you haven’t had a pretzel in decades because you can’t. Well… now you can!

This restaurant is fantastic! I have a gluten intolerance, and a severe allergy to shellfish and peanuts/tree nuts. The server and manager were so nice and took my allergies very seriously.

The pretzels are the best I’ve ever had! The only ones on the menu you cannot have if you have a gluten allergy are the stuffed pretzels.

I had a turkey sandwich on the Asiago and Parmesan pretzel and it rocked my world. I also had a cinnamon sugar pretzel with cream cheese frosting.

100/10 would recommend!!

P.S. keep in mind that during busy times, food takes longer to come out because they bake them fresh.

Amazing 🤩 I haven't had a pretzel 🥨 in 18 years. Gluten free and Vegan 🌱 also GF beer 🍻 makes a girl feel normal 🥲 they have separate surfaces and double knot their GF pretzels to denote a difference. Also the GF pretzels are served in red baskets.

I love this place! I order takeout from here pretty regularly and they are so diligent about keeping the gluten free pretzels separate from the ones with gluten that my boyfriend orders. Every pretzel except for the stuffed pretzel can be made gluten free, including the waffle pretzel! Almost all of their dips are gluten free too which is awesome (the cookie dough dip is incredible)! It’s already a pretty unique restaurant, and having the ability to make almost everything gluten free and be incredibly knowledgeable about cross contact just puts them over the top. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience and delicious meal at The Malted Barley! Had heard great things about their gluten-free pretzels so made it a priority stop while visiting. Incredible range of options, all of which looked fabulous! Others in my group got flights of beer that the server was very knowledgeable about, and provided great recommendations. Lovely chill place, nice menu with a good range of options. Waiter said all the sandwich contents are themselves gluten free, so you can get any of the sandwiches on a GF pretzel bun. Which is to say a GF pretzel sliced xD My daughter and I split two GF pretzels and both were very tasty and filling. Will be back.

This place is AMAZING! Our waitress walked us through all the choices and what gluten free options went best with which sandwich to keep their hold the best. Their specialty are house made pretzels that you can dip or make a sandwich out of it. Everything on the menu could be made gluten free (except a couple of stuffed ones). ALL the desserts- waffles, Nutella and ice cream or brownie and pretzels were all gluten free! This was the best restaurant I’ve visited since being gluten free!

I never would have checked this place out because of the name, and I’m so glad I did! This is a gem of a place for gluten free options. I got the grilled cheese sandwich (Havarti and Cheddar on an Asiago and Parmesan bagel. It was so cheesy and delicious and the pretzel bun was perfect. The bartender even told me to make sure mine came out in a red basket (that signifies gluten free). They also have 2 GF ciders and a hard seltzer on tap, although I think those change. Go here! LOTS of different and yummy choices clearly marked on the menu.

Best meal I have had in a long time! I had the meatball sandwich and the cinnamon pretzel and it was PHENOMENAL! I absolutely recommend this restaurant, my experience was a 1000000/10! So many pretzel options! I had the grilled cheese (amazing), cinnamon sugar (amazing), and the garlic pretzel... The garlic could have used a dipping sauce, but I didn't see any gf that would match, so next time I'll get it to go and have it with melted butter, cheese sauce, or Ranch.

Who would have thought with the name that it would be safe to eat here if you have celiac disease. Meatball sandwich. Add cheddar. I’m in heaven. Literally basking in this meal rn it was so good. Also, the cowboy butter is so so so good. It’s like super fine chopped garlic and parsley in melted butter.

The first time I ate here the caprese sandwich was soggy and sad. The cinnamon pretzels are powdery and brittle, would not recommend. I like my cinnamon pretzels soft with a granulated sugar crunch. So that was a bummer!

They will bring your GF order in a red basket. Regular ones are in a black basket. It is an additional way to know you are safe.

Amazing sandwiches, also the soup of the day is gf many times. I have eaten here 15+ times and highly recommend it.

Also, shockingly the meatball sandwich and the chocolate chip dipping sauce are made GF
