Good place for those with cd to go. A little pricey but the food is quite good. They are aware of procedures and ingredients, but I would double check them on the hidden mines like soy sauce. The Ban Mi salad listed soy sauce as an ingredient. When we ask if it was gf sauce or timari they checked the bottle. It had wheat in it. They were embarrassed, but all turned out ok. They have a large menu, so I think it's pretty easy for them to overlook something.

Phenomenal!!!! Vegan and gluten free options galore. Throughly trained staff. When I told her I was celiac she THANKED ME for letting her know. Such care. No cross contaminated oils so fries and tots are gluten free too!!'

My girls and I are gluten free and it has been hard to find gf friendly places to eat in the keys. We had a wonderful lunch at the mindful mermaid cafe. They were very careful about no cross contamination. My girls had hash browns for the first time since they had a dedicated fryer. Loved it!

Many, many gluten free options. My bun was fantastic. They also have GF wraps and bread. There were two kinds of gf muffins. I had the chocolate one and it was delicious. Dedicated fryer. The sweet potato tots were amazing.

This is a fabulous place to get GF food they even have a dedicated fryer, so yes you can get french fries!!!! They really understand Celiac.

amazing cute little cafe in shopping center next to Publix. food was carefully prepared as I have celiac. great taste and so many choices! I will eat there as many times as possible this week.

Awesome food! If you're looking for someplace that's extremely safe and careful this Is it. Almost if not everything there can be made gluten free. They have gluten free bread, buns and wraps.

Hand formed beef patty with gluten free bun and procedures in place to prevent cross contamination! Dedicated fryer for GF and vegetarians! Nice touch! Yummy big burger, GF peanut butter cookie! Took a organic kale salad to go. I'd definitely go back! Directions on app does not indicate it is in Publix Plaza. It is on right a bit before Publix.

Great little cafe with lots of gluten free options, as well as vegan options. They flag "Celiac" on your order so they know to prepare your food separately in the kitchen. And their fries and tater tots are cooked in a dedicated fryer.

I never write reviews, but Mermaid Cafe is my exception, because they are exceptional! Our daughter has Celiac disease, so we are typically petrified going out to eat even at restaurants with GF items. The crew here were awesome even donning gloves and cooking on a designated GF only grill. Oh, and the food? Delicious and filling! If a specialty diet is your concern, or if you just want some excellent food, you have to give this place a try, and it will become your regular feedbag stop!

Best Celiac friendly place in Florida, and God knows that there are a lot of places that try to claim this title. The owner is a doll, and they are very very careful, they have a separate fryer. 100% in love with them. And the food is very good!

Just to start off I want to be clear that my family has an extremly difficult order. My wife, daughter, and son are all gluten free. My wife isn't eating meat and I can't cant eat red meat. When we walked into The Mindful Mermaid the first thing that hit my mind was 60's vibe. It was very welcoming and homey but also open and lots of natuaral lighting. We had no issues ordering and they handled all of our requests like a pro. Every single waitress and cook knew exactly how to treat gluten free and allergies. We order the tater tots and they were absolutely delicous. It had great service and even better food. Make sure to try the gf blueberry muffins.

WOW! I felt like we hit the jackpot with this place! Fantastic service, incredible food (try the sweet potato tater tots and the GF blueberry muffin, yum!) and they take GF seriously with a dedicated dryer and separate food prep areas. It's a bit expensive but for what they offer, I can't complain. I love this place!

Great lunch spot! Had the GF banh mi wrap with sweet potato tots, highly recommend. The wrap was nice and soft, pork flavorful and juicy, tots perfectly crispy (dedicated fryer) and everything was fresh and delicious. Friendly staff too, fun atmosphere.

When we first walked into the establishment, we were a little iffy on how the food would be judging by the hap-hazard decor.. But we were blown away with how knowledgable the staff was about their gf options, how they made an effort to prep in a dedicated area (even had a dedicated fryer!!).. And the food was amazing. I had a huge sandwich (the California club) on gf bread!! I didn't get sick, and my husband loved his food too. It was a win-win for both of us!

Friendly staff. The manager (who is gluten free herself) made a point to come out and ask how everything was and explained how she has a separate fryer for gluten free cooking. Had a delicious burger and gluten free desert. I highly recommend.

Not cheap, great smoothies! Very gf friendly, they know their stuff! Food can sometimes be over seasoned but otherwise tastes great! Have eaten here several times and still keep coming back to try more!

This was the most delicious celiac friendly restaurant on our whole trip to the Keys! Tons of GF and vegan options! They told me they would change gloves and how they would prepare my food in safe ways without me even asking them. Delicious food and very caring, knowledgeable employees!!! I highly recommend eating here!
