My celiac partner and I had a good experience here! We ordered the shrimp cocktail to begin with. None of us enjoyed that very much, but the steamed maine mussels and haddock tacos were good. We may return. Service was great too.

Outstanding service and really good food with a wide variety of GF selections including "breaded" fried items, great flavored fries and dessert.

Complete bar, also if that is your thing.

This was on a Sunday in the off-season. Hard to find an open restaurant, let alone a really excellent one! We'll be back.

Amazing food, mostly GF, very safe! I come to MDI every year but had never been here. Came twice this trip - including with a large group - because the food was so delicious! Had fried seafood platters, cauliflower tacos, haddock and cauliflower appetizers, and my husband had boiled lobster (both tines!) And garlic mussels. They are very careful with allergies, have a dedicates fryer (they use GF flour in all their fried foods) and the food and atmosphere were excellent! We also came on a night with live music - music was a bit loud for me (I am sensitive) but we loved it! Highly recommend this place - safe and delicious!

My favorite place we ate while in Maine. I love me some fish and chips and these were by far the best I have ever had since going GF. Staff was kind and helpful and assured me it was safe to eat there. They weren’t wrong because I didn’t get sick!

The Nor’Easter has great food and great people. They use rice flour in their breading so their fryers remain gluten free. Fried pickles are amazing, fries are crispy and delicious, it’s owned by lobstermen so lobster rolls are fantastic, even the clam chowder is free of gluten. Tons of GF options, so fresh. Highly recommend to all.

Everything fried is safe which was a huge relief. The food itself was okay. The atmosphere was okay. I wish we had come on the day it rained because then the inside dining would have been very appreciated. Definitely come planning to get fried fish.

Everything fried is Gf - fries, chips, battered fish and chicken tenders. They also have GF buns and frozen GF apple pie for purchase. Everyone enjoyed their meals, GF or not.

Great restaurant! I thought it was a small take out place but turned out to be a beautiful restaurant with indoor dining and outside on the deck. We had a party of 8 and had excellent service, lots of choices for GF, for non-seafood and for vegetarians. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Sat outside on patio w our dog and beautiful views. Many gluten free options and everything fried GF. We had crab dip w corn chips, lobster roll, fried haddock sandwich (GF buns) fries and Cole slaw. All delicious. Very safe for celiacs! So thankful

Excellent restaurant! The view is nice, there’s often live music, it’s a nice ambiance, the seafood is fresh and amazing! And, best part, gluten friendly!

This place was excellent! As others have said they can do anything fried for you, so I got the haddock fish n chips (I usually don’t even like fish and it was amazing) and it came with a gluten free bun and fries.

We also got the lobster and wings gf, and one of my kids got glutenous (on purpose) grilled cheese. I overate, but didn’t feel glútened and ate and loved every bite.

You can have anything fried! I got the fish and rosemary sea salt fries. So so good!!! They even have GF chocolate torte, but I was too full!

All fried food is GF. Fish & Chips with Parmesan truffle Fries was amazing. I have eaten here twice last year and again this week and have never had any issues.

Thought everything was fine but my son was ill after having dinner here. Good choices, was told there was a dedicated fryer, staff was knowledgeable, but he’s been vomiting all night. It’s unfortunate as it’s a nice spot and we enjoyed some live music.

This was just the place we needed when we needed it! Free ample parking and quick service. A gluten free fryer and fish & chips (this really should be called fish & chips for two given the portion size). We also had the hot crab dip with corn chips. We thought the food was good. This is a solid restaurant and safe to boot! Also should mention that the server was very knowledgeable about gf.

Great food and beautiful place to eat! Ordered the lobster tacos on corn tortillas. Waitress was knowledgeable about gluten allergies. Would recommend!

Fryer is gluten free and all breading gluten free. The fries were some of the best I ever had - you can choose from their seasonings. I had a burger with a gf bun but my celiac daughter had the fried haddock and it was the best she had during our trip to Maine. This is so worth avoiding the crowds in Bar Harbor and is an easy spot to stop at if you are enjoying Acadia. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable; highly recommend!
