Great food. I think they do a great job with celiac precautions. The owner is very aware and I think the staff is generally conscious of the need for gluten free. Pancakes are an up charge which isn’t outlined in the menu. That’s the downfall. But they’re so good!

I am very sensitive, and always order poached eggs with bacon, or ham, fried potatoes and glutenfree pancakes. Sometimes blueberry or pumpkin gf pancakes. I have never had a gluten reaction from eating here. Love this place!

Asked waitress if their GF pancakes were cooked in a separate area & she said, "Not necessarily." Not impressed with that & I am a very sensitive celiac so pancakes here weren't an option for me. Omelets & potatoes were delicious though!

We've been to 5 different Original Pancake Houses in 3 different states. This is the only one that did NOT have GF waffles. Otherwise, food was good.

They have GF pancakes, but no waffles. The pancakes are very good. I had bacon, eggs, and potatoes. There were good. I have celiac and had no reaction.

Other than eggs, bacon and potato offerings, the only breakfast item that is available gluten-free is the pancakes. They charge extra for gluten-free pancakes. You can add things like blueberries, chocolate chips, etc but there is also an upcharge for that. The pancakes that we make at home taste much better than these. We sat inside to eat breakfast and there were flies buzzing around the table and landing on the food. The bacon is thick and lean! Service was good and the atmosphere was nice but we will try someplace else next time.

The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
