They we’re very good at telling me what’s gluten free on the menu and they used a separate pan for the pancakes to make sure that there was no cross contamination
The gf pancakes are amazing and so is the French toast and for a side you can order four thick slices of bacon which is amazing!!

Hit or miss. I've been going for years and got sick and never went back. The staff tends to be irresponsible with making sure the chefs know the allergy is present. If you are sensitive, I wouldn't risk it but if you do be very clear the severity of the allergy
No
In love with their GF pancakes I like the blueberry ones and order their (real) whipped cream on top. Absolutely heavenly! Service is great too!!
Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
I would have given a 5 a couple months ago. I go there often and really enjoyed their pancakes but the last couple times the pancakes clearly are a different recipe which is not as good.
Although the GF pancakes were good my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. I ordered GF pancakes and my waiter brought me the regular ones, which I only discovered after taking a bite and seeing my friend receive her side of pancakes which looked identical to mine. When I asked the waiter of mine were gf realized it was a mistake and responded, "well you only took a bite". He never apologized for the mistake, while I had to pay for the consequences the rest of the day. If you're going to serve GF items these kind of mistakes cannot happen!!
They have several varieties of gluten free pancakes. I've had the blueberry and the plain. The blueberry was OK, but the regulate were good--they had a nice texture and I didn't need to put syrup on them for them to be good. I actually couldn't finish them all. The other food they have (eggs, hash browns) were also good.
So many gluten free pancakes I couldn't eat them all. Yummy! I ordered pure maple syrup too. Extra cost but worth it. Military discount was surprise bonus!
amazing gf pancakes!
This place has one of the best gluten free breakfast menus in the twin cities

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.
The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
