I've been here 3 times first two were great. Today I ordered the veggies platter which is 4 sides. Halfway through my beans I found a French fry. Fries are not gf. The side I ordered should have been gf. I made sure the waiter made a note I have celiac and need my food gf.
He was embarrassed when I showed him what I found. He confirmed the frier is shared and that they their food is gf but cross contamination happens often. This is contradictory to what I've been told before. This was definitely my last trip here.

My son has celiac and did really well eating here. No adverse reaction. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and double checked a few things to confirm GF. Very appreciative of their work to make this a safe experience for celiacs!

Had higher expectations, Robert Irvine needs to visit. Staff knowledgeable about GF , however frustrating when half your sides they were out of. We got platter for two, pulled pork, bland, Definitely get some sauces, ribs decent, and brisket very tender. Potato salad creamy mess and beans from the can.
Gluten Allergy and GF for 9 years, not Celiac.

Staff was knowledgeable. The gf bun was good. They were busy, so I was a bit worried at first, but the server knew what items were safe.

Disappointed with the menu changes. Previous menu was easy to navigate to find gluten-free items. New menu only has the side dishes marked. Waitress has to go to the kitchen several times to get answers to questions. They verbally said that all sauces are gluten-free, but one contains molasses which is often not a gluten-free ingredient. Haven't had problems with gluten here in the past; we'll see this trip.
So good. The brisket and Lima beans are amazing. I have eaten here approximately 7 times and have never gotten sick.

Although my server was new and didn’t know a lot about GF, a manager came to the table who was VERY knowledgeable. She knew where in the kitchen items were made and thus what to order to avoid cross-contamination. The menu is marked for GF better online than in the restaurant. Note that tacos are grilled on the same area as a breaded dish and aren’t Celiac friendly. The bun they use for sandwiches is in a plastic baggie that they heat up in the microwave to avoid cross-contamination.
They were extremely careful with my food because I told them I was sensitive. They even brought my food out while wearing gloves. I ordered the brisket sandwich with collards and potato salad (as an extra side). We got cheesy grits as a appetizer. Everything was good and they were excellent about handling my food.

Menu is clearly marked with what is GF. You can get tacos, sandwiches and salads. There are a number of safe sides too. I had the beef tacos with cheddar grits.

We visited for lunch yesterday and I ordered gluten free bun with a hamburger along with a gluten free side of baked beans - told her it was very important that it was GF (I have celiac). The plate came out w/o the beans and had battered and fried okra on the plate with the burger - no side of beans! I told the waitress this was the wrong order so she took it back and then brought out the same plate with a side of beans; still had “fully glutened” okra on the plate. Obviously she had no idea what gluten was!! Very disappointed!!

Very good food...son had pulled pork on gf bun...son had pulled pork tacos...both portion sizes were very large. I had grilled chicken with cheese grits...very yummy! Would definitely come back!
The menu is wonderfully labeled . The wait staff was exceptional. I am also dairy intolerant and she walked me through all of the many options to ensure that dairy was also excluded. My Jerk Chicken Taco dinner was wonderfully tasty. My companion thoroughly enjoyed his no restrictions Workers Lunch Special and Brunswick Stew. Great options for all who want to enjoy an marvelous meal.

I was nervous after reading other reviews. I gave this place 5 stars because the manager came out and was very honest with me about cross contamination. the items labeled gluten free are cross contaminated alot of times. She came out and told me the ones that were not. I had the pulled pork with no sauce, a sweet potato, and green beans. all of it was very good and I didn't get sick after. I truly appreciate that they took the time after I placed my order for the gf tacos to come tell me about cross contamination because of the worry of me getting sick. thank you for being so knowledgeable.

Plenty of options, use common sense...if cross contamination bothers you then stay away from fried items. BBQ plates, most sides, and ribs are great!
This restaurant has a menu with GF items on it, but it doesn't mean they stay that way. Their French fries, chicken & wings are GF before they go into the fryer, but come out contaminated. Don't even try it.
Went their 9/5/15 on vacation with my wife. We where looking forward to good southern barbecue. We get their the place looks great. But no true smokey smell first red light. We get seated quickly. We look at the menu only a few things marked GF and a bunch of sides. We thought the barbecue plates should be safe to. So before we order we ask our waiter he informs us the only things that are gluten free are the things listed. So we excused our selves and left. Very sad we where looking forward to good barbecue.
