The donuts are AMAZING! They are made to order and take 20 minutes. You pick the flavor the glaze and then the topping. Warm, moist and so delicious. They do offer other GF options for meals and a nice bar menu.

Gluten free baked donuts! They were very good (even the next day). I had a gluten free peanut butter cookie which was very average. It did take a while to get our donuts since they are made to order and they do not have multiple staff working. I would recommend calling ahead and ordering if possible. The customer service was interesting as I think the owner just comes off slightly social awkward, so just be prepared for that! But I would definitely recommend trying these if you are in town!

(See picture posted for the donuts I got)

The doughnuts are great but we waited about 10 minutes to order & another 25 minutes for our food. A party that came in after us eventually gave up & left.

We were truly disappointed with our entire experience at The Purple Cow (which really saddened us given all the positive reviews). The owner was pleasant at first, but she seemed more interested in having conversations with her local patrons than taking our order, interrupting us several times. We ordered a box of a dozen donuts with various cake/glaze/topping combinations. We were given an estimated wait time, which was expected, since the donuts are made fresh. We asked if we could run next door to the grocery store and come back to pick up the donuts and the owner said it was no problem - perfect! We came back and were informed that the owner didn’t have enough batter to make all dozen donuts, only about 10. She let us know that she stretched it out to 12 and said she figured that we “wouldn’t mind.” Unfortunately...we did mind - that meant that we had 12 donuts that started out normal size and rapidly progressed to approximately half-sized (see picture - bottom of pic vs top of pic). Despite this, she charged us full price for the dozen - $34 for the equivalence of 10 donuts. That’s okay, it’s basically just no discount for the dozen vs. buying 12 at full price, so no real harm. Besides, everything GF is more-expensive-yet-worth-it if it’s good, right? Sadly, despite the glazes and toppings being pretty flavorful, the cake of the donut was by far the worst that we’ve ever eaten. The donuts were incredibly hard and chewy, no matter how we ate them (room-temp, warmed in microwave, warmed slowly in microwave). We only attempted to eat 4 of the “12” before giving up and just throwing out the rest. We ended up buying Kinnikinnick frozen donuts at Kroger and enjoyed those throughout our trip instead, finding them to be far more fluffy and donut-like (and significantly cheaper).

Great place to stop in and enjoy a gluten free treat! Gluten free donuts are delicious!! They have many other gluten free choices on their menu. Peanut butter cookies and Creme brûlée are just a few of the other gluten free menu items. Service is great! Owner totally gets celliac issues and is very accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you have celliac and want to enjoy dessert and not worry about getting sick.

Supremely yummy food, unique options, it's a dessert bar, with an actual bar available and a few "real food" options. Multiple delicious gluten free options as well and marked on the menu, although they do sell out. Managed to get the last chocolate cheesecake (the only gluten free one) and a couple donut creations. Super nice woman who runs (owns?) the place. Highly recommended for the area!

It's hard to review something I didn't have the opportunity to try. I give 1 star for lack of availability. Stopped in during vacation and was told they had nothing gluten free at the time. Doughnuts weren't mentioned even though they are clearly listed on menu. Was told they sometimes have GF peanut butter cookies(although server mentioned he couldn't remember the last time he saw them). GF chocolate cheesecake had come out of the oven but wouldn't be ready for some time. Disappointing to say the least.

Delicious gf options. Menu is clearly marked. Crème Brulee and Peanut Butter cookies are awesome. I had an egg salad sandwich on udis gf bread and it was yum. Didn't rate 5 stars because service was beyond slow. We were the only family there for first 30 minutes and it took us about 1.5 hours to get all of our food and eat.

Welcoming atmosphere. Great dessert. Highly recommend the chocolate cheesecake and specialty gluten free almond raspberry bars! An amazing treat while on vacation, accompanied by a very friendly owner who was understanding of gluten free preparation. Designated gluten free items throughout the menu and I certainly did not feel deprived of options including egg muffins, sandwiches, fruit plates, and dessert!
