Never actually wasted my time going here and today's experience proved why. My lovely mother had lunch with a work colleague and left her grey fingerless gloves so I offered to pick them up as I live 2 blocks away from here....The waitress addressed me after a lovely older woman asked if I needed help and I explained, the waitress decided to proceed to tell me after waiting a few moments to wait in the back because she needed to use the computer. Word for word what she said to me and I had to stare at her as if she was on drugs because how DARE you speak to people that way? Then there is a wonder why people do certain things and get out of control because people cannot control themselves. Then she continued and pointed as if I was somehow oblivious to her ignorance and I explained that I understand just that there was no need to speak that way. My poor boss has recommended this place too many times I am sure you know him and his lovely family as they eat there almost everyday. Sad to say I will never spend my money here if this is how they treat regular patrons. I do medical transportation and I would never speak to a patient with such disdain.

Waitress had no idea what gluten was. I explained it to her and then she brought me a salad with toasted bread slices on top. Definitely do not trust this place.

Honestly, it was okay. Shepard's Pie had good mashed potatoes, but the meat was...average. Waitress clearly hated her job.
The Quiet Man is an Irish pub with lovely and helpful staff, but there is no gluten-free menu. Although there are gluten-free items on the menu, the staff was not educated about gluten. Given this, I am guessing that cross-contamination is not a kitchen priority.

the Quiet Man is wonderful! the completely understand gluten free & the dangers of cross contamination. Ask for Vicky, she is a great waitress who was helpful with directing me the GF menu choices. And the scalloped potatoes are legendary!
