Review of The Smokin' Buddha

First time at this restaurant as a Celiac. Delicious menu with many gluten free options. A lot of gluten free entrees available. I had the pad Thai and really enjoyed it.

Spoke to the restaurant owner who was very friendly and welcoming. I was able to confirm the kitchen understood celiac and took the appropriate precautions to avoid contamination. Kitchen was open concept so I could also watch them cook which was nice!

Note: The gluten free menu items are labelled with an asterisk on the menu (*) which made it a little confusing. I accidentally ordered an appetizer that wasn’t gluten free because of this! I caught it in time and the restaurant owner spoke to me about the mix up. I suggested a change of symbol to a more universally recognized gluten free symbol on the menu if it is ever updated. Be aware of this when ordering so you make sure the items you select are gluten free!
