My friend and I both have celiac and absolutely loved the food here! She had the lobster grilled cheese and I had fried calamari and shrimp tempura. I couldn’t decide since I was just so excited by all the options. Our food was delicious, I stuffed myself silly and days later I am still thinking about the food there. I am not local but if I were this would be a regular place for me. The staff was fantastic too!

Lobster, fried foods and gf bread. Very good.

They also have one person who will only do the gf stuff in an order (limiting cross contamination). The fryer is only gf items and the cook top has a dedicated gf area.

Amazing experience. Greeted at the door and had the menu explained, the fryer is dedicated and they have separate procedures for folks with allergies/celiac. Crab cakes, tempura shrimp, calamari, food I haven’t had in ages, and all of it absolutely and truly incredible. Fantastic view of the ocean and a safe, wonderful meal.

The crab cakes were so good! Could eat anything in there. Small place - went before the dinner rush and sat outside in the back looking at the water.

We found this place on the app thinking it would just a quick stop off 95 on our way back to Boston. To our pleasant surprise, this restaurant was in a beautiful area with plenty of views of the ocean. The food was fantastic and they have a lot of GF options. A lady that greeted us appeared to be the manger or owner was very kind and welcoming and shared that almost everything on the menu can be made GF and asked if it had an allergy or not. Would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

My husband and I stumbled upon this tiny restaurant in Perkins Cove mostly because we saw it had a beautiful waterfront view. Even better was learning that almost everything on the menu was gluten free, including their fried foods. For starters, my husband and I shared the fried oysters, crab cakes (first crab cakes in 6 years since going gf) and the seafood chowder. For my meal, I had a lobster roll on gf bread which was toasted separately. Instead of pasta salad they subbed chips. The food was delicious and I did not get sick.

I am glad we stopped here. Sitting right by the water was great. I am not a seafood person but the chicken sandwich was great. They subbed chips for the pasta salad that wasn’t gf.

Awesome selection of GF dishes, including items that hardly ever are: clam chowder, tuna poke, crab cakes etc. Quite a find.

We try to eat outdoors as much as possible nowadays. We came to go to the Lobster Shack but discovered this gem right across the street. Outdoors seating on the beach and gluten free calamari and crab cakes!! I haven’t had it in years!!!! Gluten free bread for sandwiches like crab sandwiches and lobster rolls and cheeseburgers for the kids.

I strolled into The Trap today right after leaving the Footbridge Lobster shack very disappointed. Advertised all over trip advisor and you tube, I expected FBL to be amazing but what a let down. Not only that, The Foot Bridge Lobster has no gf options at all. If you walk right around the corner to the left there is a little piece of heaven named, The Trap. The owner is a doll and is so hospitable. Everything is gf including the fryers. I had home made chowder and a gf Lobster roll. The chowder was delicious and filled with fresh clams. My Lobster roll was filled with giant chunks of lobster and the warm toasted buttery bread was just right. My sandwich was stuffed with so much lobster meat I bet they used an entire lobster. I said to my boyfriend halfway through my sandwich with a bite still in my mouth, “ this is the best sandwich I’ve ever had!” I will be returning to The trap on my way home to snag another Lobster roll tomorrow.

Absolutely lovely experience at The Trap tonight. They were very busy and still very accommodating. In fact they encouraged me to order more and were excited for me to be able to try anything on the menu! They also told me they have a special spot on the grill for my sandwich. I had shrimp cocktail and a pesto chicken sandwich and a couple spoonfuls of my boyfriend’s chowder. Everything was awesome! For big seafood lovers- you can have a lobster roll and fried seafood there! And, the view from their deck is SO beautiful. I felt really spoiled tonight- and loved it!

So excited to be able to have a safe, gluten free lobster roll! Delicious food and beautiful setting. Many gluten free options and a dedicated frier (apparently all of their fried foods are naturally gluten free). Amazing and will be back again!

Incredibly conscientious regarding my son’s wheat allergy, as well as his other nut allergies. Happily discussed every single ingredient and they have a special process of preparing GF sandwiches on their own clean surface when you let them know if cross contamination is a concern. He had the GF lobster roll and Haddock chowder. I had the GF crab cakes and GF fried oyster sandwich. Amazing food and admirable care for their customers with allergies. Could not have asked for more!!!

Just wow. Amazing food and amazing view. Lobster roll comes on toasted bread but perfectly cooked and great flavor. What was utterly amazing was the calamari. Their small plates were all GF and I was asked if GF was a preference or allergy. When I said I was celiac they assured me they would take special care. We tried the crab cakes and calamari to start and while the crab cakes were delicious the calamari was out of this world. Tender and full of flavor. Not your traditional calamari you dip in marinara. They Tass it in their own sauce that is a balsamic vinegar base. Owner came out and spoke to us several times to check on things.

On top of great food we had a beautiful ocean view that made the whole experience just wonderful.

Great lunch option for Celiac! We ate outside in the back of the restaurant overlooking the ocean. The food was delicious! Items were marked gluten free on the menu. We had the fried oyster lettuce cups, friend calamari and friend shrimp. All tasty and different than the average fried seafood recipe. Gluten free buns available for sandwiches, although we didn’t try any sandwiches. Best thing, no one got sick LSO they do take cross contamination seriously.

A really beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. A lovely little town to walk around. They were super helpful in telling me what was gluten free. I had the lobster melt sandwich and it was great. I didn’t ask about GF beer availability because we were having an early lunch and hiking.

WOW! What a great meal, and an amazing view. The staff was super knowledgeable, friendly, and explained that everything can be made gluten free. I had the oyster lettuce wraps, shrimp tempura, and the chowder.

I got the balsamic fried calamari...oh my goodness!!! SO yummy, and not too heavy of a meal. No French fries, but still so worth it! I also enjoyed the Citizen hard cider!
