This used to be one of the better gluten free cafes in Vancouver for casual food and drinks and diner fare. Unfortunately the place was sold and came under new ownership approximately 3 years ago and it went DOWNhill. The long term and regular staff all quit or were let go due to terrible standards and deterioration on all levels including the gluten free side of things. I ate here 1 to 2 times back when this was happening and have never gone back since. The food taste and quality went down as did the ambiance and service. Sadly I no longer recommend this place.

Knowledgeable about celiac, but breakfast was not great. They make their own gf bread, but it was served dry without butter or any condiments. The service was not good, but that could be due to COVID staffing issues.

I am celiac and got sick here- definitely from cross contamination.

The poutine was delish. It was so nice to have gravy again. Hard to find as a celiac! They also have Glutenberg beer ♥✨🪄 super cool vibe inside. Really chill

Did not get sick and thoroughly enjoyed the food! Best gf & df burger I’ve yet to have! The chicken fingers and poutine were also super great. I didn’t personally enjoy the vegan benny but it was sooo aesthetically pleasing. The fries could use some improvement but definitely will return! They have many df/vf/gf options to choose from. Seriously try that burger though.

Amazing, safe, delicious gluten free food. I had the Sheppard's pie and carrot cake, and it was amazing.

Great little diner! They have an in-house GF Baker who makes all their desserts.

Very knowledgeable servers, heaps of GF options. Staff are friendly, food is delicious, atmosphere is nice.
Delicious.
So much to choose from.
Gluten free beer on tap
More items are gluten free than not.
Most of the items on the menu are able to be gluten free. Burger buns can be gluten free. Pretzels are home made and delicious. Friendly staff. Can't talk to cross contamination as our Coeliac daughter is asymptomatic but they seemed to take care.
Visiting from Florida! Loved it! Had the Cali with grilled chicken and the GF bun which was HOMEMADE. Very good.
Friendly staff, great service. Amazing gf breakfast sandwich.

Excellent food. They have gluten free beer, cider, and the menu is very clear. The gf French toast was amazing.
Love The Wallflower! It’s become my go-to restaurant over the past year since diagnosed. The servers are all very knowledgeable about celiac, most of the menu is gf and it’s an easy, stress-free place to bring your non-gf friends for dinner or brunch as the menu has lots of standard fare choices (burgers, fries, mac and cheese, nachos, salads, etc.).

Great GF options, good knowledge. Service is hit and miss as are some menu items. Yummy brunch, desserts and GF drink options.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. The 3 Celiac's in my family loved it!

Great service. Knowledgable staff. Solid food. My group of high maintenance eaters (one celiac, one vegetarian/no onions, one super picky) were not made to feel like we were a pain in the butt at all and enjoyed a great meal. Definitely recommend.

Nothing too fancy, great service and variety of gf items to choose from. I ordered a tuna melt but by the looks of the burgers going by, I should have gotten one of those!
I loved this place. If I lived in Vancouver, I might strategically choose housing closest to this restaurant! I had a tuna melt and APPLE PIE. The three other people I was with tried my gf bread and liked it better than what they were eating. The pie was good enough to make me worry that it wasn't gf. The place has a unique vibe, which I happened to like. Our waitress was very aware. Go quickly. Run don't walk is my best advice.

Lots of GF options on their menu. My 7 year old has celiac and she really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich. Portion sizes are quite large. We would definitely go back to try the lunch and dinner menu

Lots of gluten-free options. They actually mark up the "non-gluten-free" items, which is a sign of how many GF options there are. The benny is great. GF waffles not so much.

Smallflower is excellent and I'd say these guys may have a cross contamination problem when it comes to celic so I had to stop going.

Fantastic find. Safe for celiacs - says do on their website and confirmed by the waiter. Almost the entire menu can be made gluten free in a safe area of the kitchen. My daughter was so happy she could eat! Food was good for the whole family - gluten free and not gf. They don't fry any food - only bake - so my youngest was not as pleased with her chicken tenders but she's very picky. Smaller restaurant and service is a little slow during busy times but nice atmosphere. If visiting Vancouver you will need a car or figure out bus schedule to get here as it is not in downtown. They do have a sister shop in downtown - the small flower - which we did not go to this time. Also have vegan options.
Awesome! Knowledgeable & extremely helpful wait staff and kitchen staff. Between my GF requirement plus my dairy, egg, yeast, mushroom, chocolate and nut allergies. Totally recommend & will return while in Vancouver.

Good gluten free options but the food wasn't very good. I got a turkey dinner, but it seemed like most of the food was previously frozen and then quickly reheated, possibly by microwave.

This is my favorite place to eat at in Vancouver! The food is great! The atmosphere is great! It's not expensive and almost everything can be done gluten free! The staff are friendly and knowledgable and I have never had a worry or problem eating here :)
Fantastic place! Will absolutely be back
Great vegan penne! Husband the perogies excellent
This place was amazing! My husband and I stopped by to try it while we were in town after reading the reviews. The service was fast and friendly, the food came pretty quick, and their gluten free house-made bread with their eggs benedict was delicious! We will definitely be going back the next time we're in Vancouver.

For a breakfast with a modern twist, you'll want to try the Wallflower Modern Diner on Main Street. The crab cake eggs benny was packed with flavors of curry and was served on a homemade gluten-free roll. The menu also features a variety of both gluten-free and vegan dishes.
Nice little place with good service. Had the big breakfast with in house made GF bread which was quite delish. Good music as well. I would come back to have some of the lunch menu items. Came back again for Crystal Bene. Very Good.
Mostly everything available gluten free, home made gluten free bread, delicious and completely accomodating
