My favorite restaurant along the Oregon coast. The food is fantastic. Lots of gourmet options on the menu. There are quite a few GF options and the staff is knowledgeable about GF items on their menu

Delicious food and amazing views! Our server was knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. She walked me through the menu options that were available. Their fries are not GF so their fryer is not safe but there are lots of other great options! I had the sea scallops with risotto and broccoli which was incredible!!

I asked if the salmon dish was gluten free. She said she but not the asparagus as a shared fryer. She suggested the carrots instead. Wonderful dinner. Carrots were delish and did not get sick.

Tidal Raves has several gluten free options, just ask your server!
We had calamari appetizer, sautéed wild shrimp, salmon, risotto, Brussels sprouts & for dessert crème brûlée & flourless chocolate cake !
We dine here every time we are in town & have never been disappointed.

We were told they had GF Fish and Chips. I asked at the reception desk, and was told they could “make anything on the menu with GF flour”. I ordered fish and chips. “Sorry, the chips have flour, would you like mashed potato’s instead?” đź‘€ I still said Yes, because I haven’t had fried fish in years. I hope this lets me post a picture. Because what I was served was two small pieces of fish baked in a lemon sauce with a side of mashed potato’s. It didn’t resemble Fish and Chips by any stretch of anyone’s imagination. They also up charged me $5 for making it “gluten free”. The view would get it a 5. I gave it a 3, because what I was served was tasty, not. or at all what I ordered.

5 overall, 4 for service
GF aware but not listed on the menu. They were very amenable to making some changes to prep.
Great view, service good - he was a bit punky, but got better as the evening went on.
Special crab and shrimp appetizer-could have been larger (more shrimp) for the price. Great flavors.
I had seared scallops and asparagus risotto. All perfectly cooked with creamy risotto. My partner had the rockfish and thought it was the best preparation he had in quite some time (we eat rockfish often).
My partner’s Marionberry cobbler was very good (not GF).
We went back a second night. It was even better. We both had the seafood risotto and it was even more creamy.

Limited GF menu, waitress was awesome, however when I asked for a lemonade no straw (they werent sure if the paper straws contain wheat or not) the water that delivered got real upset I had the nerve to ask about the straws and basically tossed my lemonade in the table claiming I was yelling at him and at no time did I ever raise my voice (confirmed by others at my table and the tables around us). The menu is no longer labeled with GF items and the fryer is shared so there was only 2 GF dishes on the menu for a celiac. The man clearing the table was rude and shoved his hips into my face to reach across my plate to remove the dirty silverware! That’s unacceptable imo.

Went for an early dinner on a Saturday, can be a long wait but we were lucky. GF items are marked on the menu but you have to watch cross contamination with the side dishes. Bartender Bryan steered my wife away from the flash fried Brussels sprouts which go in the same fryer as breaded items. He recommended other items including the green curry rockfish which was safe and outstanding. Great stop for a good dinner where you can watch whales right out the window.

We were really looking forward to eating here but sadly our server seemed put out and didn’t know what she was talking about. We were a party of 5 with one celiac and one gluten free (cc okay). I was given food containing gluten which once I became suspicious it was confirmed when we asked another server. When we told our server she all but rolled her eyes with an oh sorry about that. I’m sure the owner means well but the staff needs educated AND should not act put out by customer asking questions. I’ll never eat here again.

Everything was delicious! I'm a member of the Gluten Eating Barbarian Tribe, but my wife has Celiac disease. Staff were very accommodating and honest. Not everything on the menu can be made GF, but they are more than happy to make substitutions where they can. They even have a gluten free chocolate truffle thing for dessert which is delicious! My wife is happy, not sick, and full!
It's a little spendy, but you get what you pay for. I have zero complaints.

The gentleman that greeted us was great! He said that most of the menu was gluten free and that most of the items that are not gluten free could be pan fried with rice flour instead. That’s pretty much the only good things I can say about the restaurant as I did get sick and the waiter was a condescending jerk! He acted extremely put out that I would ask him about the menu which is exactly what the man that seated us instructed me to do as the menu has no indications next to menu items that are gluten free or ones that can be special made with rice flour. The only reference on the menu that had to do with gluten free items was where it said a gluten free bun could be used on the sandwich items.

Absolutely wonderful. I've been here a handful of times & always have a great experience. views of the waves crashing among the rocks is spectacular while you eat. I've had the calamari a few times (with rice flour) & it's lovely! Last night I tried the pan fried oysters in rice flour. Yum! So delicious! I've had the green curry with seafood, beyond expectations. it's my favorite place on the coast. I've never gotten sick eating here. The staff is very knowledgeable. there's Even a couple gf dessert options.

GF buns for the sandwiches, and the server did ask about the “string fries”. We misunderstood and thought he was just talking about a shared fryer, but when we got our takeout to the hotel we realised they had some sort of light batter sprinkled on them, so I carefully avoided them.

Very busy, but very cute restaurant with stunning views. Small menu, with only a few GF options. Nothing marked as GF but the server was able to talk us through things. Ordered the Steelhead on risotto with crab, husband ordered the burger on a GF bun. Both fabulous. Word of warning, their fries are battered, and not safe.

We ordered the Alder Smoked Sampler, the Halibut and the Ribeye. Then we ordered the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Our service from Stephen was excellent - he was very knowledgeable about the menu and went over entire thing explaining what we could have and the modifications required.

I've been here several times and I don't get sick. The halibut with risotto is really tasty. My favorite by far so far. They know their seafood.
Knowledgeable staff and accommodating plus delicious, well prepared servings.
Excellent food. The servers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The cooks prepare to order where they are able. The views are amazing. Servers are wonderful.
No gluten free menu but the staff was very knowledgeable. The food was wonderful and the view is spectacular!
Yes
There is no GF menu but waiter was very knowledgeable. I had the fish tacos, nothing special, but still very good.
Delicious lunch and great view. Im very sensitive celiac and I did not get sick. I'd definitely return!
Yes
No specific gluten free menu, but the servers know what is safe, and the kitchen treats celiac like a serious food allergy, so cross contamination isn't an issue. they even have a rice batter substitution option, so you can have pan-fried breaded foods.
Yes
Our server was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious! Our server went back and forth to the kitchen several times for to answer our concerns. Beautiful views!
The food here is amazing! They are very knowledgeable about gluten-free and have many gluten-free options. I have eaten here many times and it is always wonderful!

Excellent food. Not many gf items. Fish tacos are delicious. Sautéed shrimp was good. Great atmosphere and the view is unbelievable!

I found my waiter very helpful in choosing my meal. He was very knowledgeable. I ordered the fish tacos and they were delicious. I will return.
They Suck! I called ahead and they said they have many options. No they don't! Their mashed potatoes aren't even GF. Like the other reviews the staff was not helpful and snotty!! Pissed me off! U have very few options. We were better off down the street having GF pizza at Tide Pool Pub! Friendly and great pizza!

Waitress was a snot and food not worth the price.. Definitely NOT gluten friendly. When I asked the waitress about gluten free options she was very snotty about it. Only options were salad and grilled fish...... Oil is not gluten free....
No
Our waitress was really annoyed that we asked about celiac options. As a matter of fact, she rolled her eyes at us. There are a few options. The food is delicious but not gf fryer so be aware.
No
Food was superb but pricey.
Staff was good about options. The frier isn't gf so be careful. The view was amazing and the food was good. Waitress had a little chip on shoulder
