No longer Toro Taberna. The owners converted this to an Italian restaurant (Park Road Pasta Kitchen) which is not dedicated gluten free. Sounds like a shared kitchen with lots of gluten flours. The article mentions separate surfaces for gluten free food prep.

Disappointing development, as this was a go-to place for Celiacs in Hartford area.

First time here. I have been to the Farmington location and had very good food. I will say there is lots to choose from, as it is all gluten free. I was a bit underwhelmed with the taste of some of the food. Some things were better than others. Perhaps I need to try different dishes. Definite learning curve. I found the churro to be too greasy and I was so looking forward to it, so that was very disappointing. It is so nice to feel safe with all the food. That speaks volumes.

I would give 6/5 stars if I could! This is one of the best dedicated gf restaurant experiences I have had. So fun that it’s tapas style and it was so exciting to have a gf BURRITO and CHURROS. So delicious. Cannot recommend it enough!

This restaurant is fantastic!! The entire menu is gluten free. The staff and owners are very cognizant of celiac and there is no cross contamination. Toro Taberna is the go-to-spot for Spanish tapas and great cocktails. The chef has created a vast menu of culinary delights, utilizing the freshest ingredients to bring homemade dishes straight to your table.

Wow. Celiacs dream, to literally get 1 of everything in the menu! It’s such a cool place because it’s meant to all be shared and you order a bunch of different foods because the portions are small. I would be careful because I noticed they use takis in one of their dishes, and takis are made in a facility. That was the only concern I had there. I have 13 different things here and didn’t feel sick or anything. Love this place. I always avoid things made in a facility though.

Stopped for lunch traveling in the area. My celiac teen was so happy to eat at a dedicated place. Every single dish was superb. The sopa de carne (braised beef soup) was incredible…the perfect amount of spice. Also had the chicken empanadillas…also perfectly spiced, potato croquettes, jamon y manchego bocadillo (a fancy ham sandwich ☺), fries were sliced thin, delicious and crispy.The waitress was also incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. You could tell she genuinely enjoyed serving us. The entire place was clean and cozy decor with outside tables and street parking.

Fantastic experience. Making reservations, they allow you to choose from multiple allergies for members of the party. The entire menu is GF, with tapas style small plates. We ordered the potato croquettes, brisket, mushroom risotto and pork belly. Everything was delicious. Not too spicy. Highly recommend, and we will be back.

All selections are tapas served family style. Almost the entire menu is GF, including desserts. Our waitress was very knowledgeable. We had a great meal!

I was excited to try out Toro Taberna after loving sister restaurant Toro Loco. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The calamari was tender and super crispy, braised beef and pork belly was so flavorful and they even have a open faced baguette with truffle ricotta that was so good. Cocktails were also delicious. It’s so fun to be able to order anything on the menu and fell safe. I will definitely be going back!

A quick browse of their website and you’ll see the statement that the restaurant is 100% gluten free. The skeptic in me called and confirmed that yes, they’re gluten free even the kids menu. With family visiting for the weekend (two with celiac) we ordered paella, small plates, salad and desserts without hesitation. The food was devoured and enjoyed by all. Everyone woke up the next day happy and healthy with no gluten issues. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing we found a delicious restaurant the entire family can enjoy without restriction.

The food here is fantastic. Same people as toro loco in East Hartford and Farmington where they also have GF restaurants. This restaurant has more of a Spanish tapas influence. The calamari is amazing!
