Trapper's Sushi

This place had a second gluten free menu. This was very much appreciated. Unfortunately my boyfriend is very sensitive to cross contamination so he felt a little sick the next day. Overall the staff were knowledgeable and helpful when it came to gluten free! I’d recommend to anyone who isn’t very sensitive to CC and can handle it!

Very friendly staff. Ordered a California roll and a couple of vodka cranberry drinks. Very good. Instead of using nori for the rolls they use a rice paper. They have gluten free soy sauce. They also have happy hour for drinks and regular sushi. Downtown Phx, ate here before a Suns game. It wasn’t very busy. Has outdoor seating. Nice ambiance but wasn’t a fan of the unisex bathrooms. They didn’t smell great and weren’t very clean

Ordered through DoorDash- I was able to select gluten free options through the app, everything came nicely labeled and was delicious! No issues, and even included gluten free soy sauce!

Great service, very knowledgeable, and I have never had a problem eating here. They have protocol for preparing gluten free, as to avoid crosscontamination (new gloves, separate utensils, and area). They have a gluten free menu, and their gf rolls are delicious! Best sushi I've had in Phoenix that I feel is truly safe for strong gluten sensitivity

Writing this review from the day after just to be safe, and no issues! For being in AZ, the food was very fresh and delicious, which means a lot as I am from New England. I had GF chicken teriyaki, edamame and the GF California sushi roll. They brought out GF soy sauce for me which was labeled. I will be going back before we leave town.

My server was very knowledgeable of celiac and ensured I got GF soy and even cocktail checks.

Gluten free menu. We enjoyed the outdoor tables. The GF California roll was very good. The teriyaki chicken was also very good and tender. GF tamari sauce. It was a very busy night but our food and service were great. No symptoms of gluten afterward.
