Was excited to try this place when passing through town. Extensive menu for an all gf restaurant. Ordered Crawfish Étouffée and some treats to go. The étouffée would have been delicious but tasted like it had raw garlic in it was so spicy that it was inedible. Unfortunately, we were already on the road when we tasted it, otherwise would have returned dish and tried something else. They have a large selection of cupcakes and other desserts. Enjoyed cupcakes on first visit, but not as much on the next. Would definitely return for the desserts and give the food another try

Loved it! From being able to choose anything off the menu, to the wonderful service by a kind, knowledgeable, and sincere waitress we enjoyed our experience. I had a turkey pannni with a side of cranapple coleslaw, it was delicious. My husband had a club pannini, he also enjoyed it alot. tasty & no side effects :) If you're in the area, it's the place to go.

While on vacation thought we'd stop in and check this place out. It was amazing! Great size menu and baked goods selection. We ended up trying the strawberry cake samples and now we're addicted. Staff was nice and helpful. Will definitely stop in again if we're back in the area!

I was so excited to find this place! I found the actual meals underwhelming, but I LOVED the desserts! The cinnamon rolls were delicious and they have a great selection of cupcakes and cookies. A fun place to check out for snacks.

This place is a hidden gem for any celiac or gluten intolerant person. We have eaten here twice when visiting the Baton Rouge area once this past week and another time in May. My 11 yo celiac daughter loves it! We have not had anything that wasn't delicious. The nachos are one of her favorites along with the donuts and whoopie pies. The gf bread for their sandwiches is the thinnest gf bread I have ever had..making for a yummy sandwich.

The food at Truly Free is tasty, but they have service problems. They mess up orders a lot so if you have restrictions other than just gluten and casein, beware. I can't have nuts or tomatoes and both of those things have found their way into my orders on multiple occasions. You would think that a place that caters to patrons with allergies would be more careful. After it happened a couple of times I made it a habit to start checking my pick up orders carefully before leaving, but once they put chopped tomatoes inside my wrap and I didn't know they were there until after I had already eaten some. It is one of the only places I could possibly eat out in Baton Rouge but they make so many of those kinds of mistakes it's less and less of an option for me. :/

Saw it on this app & stopped in while on a road trip. The Monkey & Passion Cupcakes are amazing! So nice to have a place where I can order anything I want. Too bad I don't live in B.R.

They serve nothing but Gluten Free Options. The Owner Eric was very friendly. I had the Rueben Panini, cranberry coleslaw. They were all delicious. The chocolate cupcake was hands down the best cupcake I have ever had. So moist! The brownie was also delicious!

I came in this morning dreaming of GF cinnamon rolls but was told they were out. Also the pancakes that are advertised online aren't available. Just a heads up. Normally, I'm really pleased, especially as I know it's a safe place to eat but today I'm a little bummed.

The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. I was just passing through town so I was excited to stumble upon a dedicated gf bakery. I haven't had a 4 page menu to choose from in a long time so I stocked up on a few items since I was on the road. I was pretty disappointed by the taste of the food though and found it quite bland. One of the most disappointing dedicated restaurants I've been to in terms of taste. Such a shame but good effort for it being dedicated!

I am a regular at this place. The menu is extensive and always fabulous, from cupcakes to pizzas to paninis. It's so wonderful to know I'll get something tasty and safe every time, even as a vegetarian.

Was in town in my annual family visit and was excited to have a dedicated GF place. They cured me of my excitement within seconds of walking in the door. Counter staff was plentiful and really concerned with gossip instead of customers. Bought a banana nut muffin, horrible, gummy, inconsistent. Like someone forgot to actually mix the batter then baked 5 minutes too short. Tried to engage owner/manager in conversation about the gumbo (as I've never had a GF roux-based gumbo). Wasn't asking for a recipe but he got really rude and explained (repeatedly) how he "could give you the recipe and you'd still never get it right because it took me over a year of daily testing. Do you know how many gumbos I made? I could tell you everything and you still wouldn't get it right." Um, wow, I was just trying to engage in conversation over how I've been sad to only have okra-based gumbo for 2 years and how I was looking forward to trying his the next day if it was really roux-based. Needless to say, I never went back, and everyone I know is now warned against this rude, pompous, low-quality hole.

Ok place. Hit or miss with items. Staff not real knowledgable about gf and terminology. Weird consistency to some items. I guess if its all you can eat you won't know the difference.

Absolutely delicious and all gluten free. Super people who gave us tips on where to eat in New Orleans. Gumbo was awesome, kids loved the mac'n'cheese and we finished off with Snickerdoodles and Whoopie Pie.

Have celiac disease, when first diagnosed heard about Truly Free so I went to check it out. The staff was extremely helpful. My dr just told me to stay away from wheat Rye barley Malta and oats. Real compassionate there huh. The staff at truly free helped me out so much. Told me why and what it did. Been back several times. Food is awesome staff is great. My new favorite place.
