I ordered a takeout build your own burger with a GF bun, fries. My items were in a separate bag from the gluten items in my order for another family member. I had no signs of being sick after! Food tasted great. I got minimal toppings since I couldn’t confirm gluten-containing sauces so I played it safe with just cheese and onions

Food was terrible. Ordered a burger with a GF bun and the response was "we don't have that". It's on the menu. Got a lettuce wrap instead. The burger they brought out was unseasoned and the cheese on top wasn't even melted. My husband (no dietary restrictions) said his burger wasn't great either. The fries were meh. I don't even complain much about food at places but this was 100% waste of time & money.

Every time I come here they have no gluten free buns. It gets old that they are promoted as gluten free friendly.

I am editing my rating down to 3 stars. While you can still get dedicated fries, the quality of the burger has significantly dropped since COVID which is a shame. The buns fall apart and make eating the burger as-is impossible. You won’t get sick, but it also won’t be a great experience.

Dedicated frier, the best GF buns I've ever had, and just an all around great burger. The fries are excellent. We eat here regularly and have never had an issue, and I'm very sensitive.
The managers are well versed in GF and take it very seriously. At one point they had switched the buns to the current ones, and they looked and felt so much like regular bread we asked a manager to double check. She was so kind, and brought out a regular toasted bun and a toasted GF bun to show the difference. This is one place I feel like I don't have to worry I'm going to get glutened!!
PS - all the condiments are GF as well :)

We have visited Twisted Root many times before, but I’ve noticed a decrease in quality and service. Our latest visit was especially disappointing. I ordered a GF cheeseburger with mushrooms, cooked medium. The bun quickly began to disintegrate, so I started to eat the burger with a fork and knife. That’s when I noticed the meat was dangerously underdone. I ate only the cooked edges. The manager blamed me for ordering the burger medium instead of well-done. It’s always been cooked properly before. Also, it seems the management team is more interested in interacting with the young employees than attending to guests.

Staff very knowledgeable about GF. Good conversation with them about it. Udis buns and a separate fryer for the fries. Delicious if you like burgers and fries. Also have a full bar.

Food was absolutely fantastic, fries are delicious and cooked in a separate fryer. Staff was a little rude at first when i asked about the fries and a separate fryer. She had absolutely no idea what gluten free was so I asked for a manager. The manager and the bar tender talked and the manager came to talk to me and assured me that everything would be GF. I would go back as it was a great meal. They could do with a better selection of GF drinks. They have liquor but not a full bar. Selection od Bottle cider could do with some improvement and no GF beer. Which would go nice with burger and fries. Big deal would be education of the staff or even just have them read the website before they start serving.
We for a gluten free burger with bacon. It was delicious.

Lunch on the 11th was great. Was informed their onion straws were GF, kitchen staff caught the error and came out to chat. Subbed for grilled green beans and carrots.
Came back on 13th for dinner and a very different experience. Staff was not confident. Cashier argued that the onion straws were GF (def not) and the kitchen didn't seem to know about the grilled beans and carrots. Kitcheb staff also stacked prep bowls on top of veggies while they sat in window (gross), and definitely cross contaminated (and then they argued that they didnt do it).
Do NOT tip when you order, as they prompt you. Make them prove themselves first.

I love this spot! They have a dedicated fryer for the fries and lots of burger options. The gluten free bun is nicely toasted as well and they prepare it safely for celiacs.
