Some really good pizza! Best I’ve had in while!! They ask if the gluten is for preference or allergy. Changed gloves. Really good pizza! Will be going back!

Uncle Maddios has a separate cooking area for gluten allergies. They ask when you ask for a gluten free crust if it’s preference or allergy. They use completely different ingredients than they do for non allergy ingredients

When you ask for a gluten free item the first thing asked is “preference or allergy” if you answer allergy, the preparer immediately goes to wash his/her hands and put on clean gloves. Then you are directed to a separate preparation station where your pizza is prepared to your liking. The preparer then announces to the oven tender that this is a “gluten free allergy” order. When the pizza comes out of the oven it is brought to you and again announced as gluten free. I have never had a problem after eating here and continue to go back when I am in Jonesboro.

They used a separate container of sauce, separate utensils, separate trays, and were very accommodating. Very celiac and gluten-free friendly.

Maddio's is definitely not celiac-friendly. A few months ago, I was served a regular pizza, when I had ordered a gluten-free pizza. I ate an entire piece and was starting on a second piece when a server walked out with my gluten-free pizza and informed me that the pizza I was eating was NOT gluten-free. In almost 12 years of celiac disease, this was the first time that anything like this had happened to me. I had issues resulting from this error for several months, because I got "glutened." The manager and staff seemed to have no idea at all of how serious this was for someone with celiac disease. Needless to say, I have not returned to this restaurant. It is a shame, since it was one of my favorites before they made this serious mistake. I would say that celiacs are taking a big risk to eat here. People with just gluten intolerance might be "ok." I am just not willing to take this risk again, since the results affect health for many months later, while the small intestine heals from the gluten damage.

Well trained, knowledgeable staff. Delicious gf pizza crust, but there are cross contamination issues.

We ordered both a gluten free and a regular build your own pizza. Wish we had this local to us (SW Michigan).

Food was good and staff was helpful. This is like Chipotle, only it is pizza rather than Mexican. From what I was told this is a franchise out of ATL. It was pricier than Pie Five, which is a competing franchise in this space. @ Uncle Maddio's you get three toppings at no charge and then it is $.50 per topping.
just left this location and it was amazing! best GF crust I've EVER had and the staff was GREAT! Fresh local based & organic ingredients, Soy-free vegan cheese, and loads of customizable toppings! 2 HUGE THUMBS UP!

Maddio's pizza is some of the better GF pizza I have had. The ingredients are fresh. The best part is that the servers know how to prepare your pizza in as clean an environment as possible. They wash hands, change gloves, and even get the toppings from other dishes than are normally used for non-GF pizzas.
It is a very kid-involved place, so it can be loud, busy, and sticky in the dining area. FYI.
They always take extra precautions when they hear that I have Celiac Disease. They wipe down the counters, get toppings from fresh containers, use special utensils, and cook it separately. Plus, the pizza is AMAZING!

Stopped by the same location twice on our way through town. Had the Jamaican Jerk chicken both times. They do maintain a separate area and had no hesitation following an allergy protocol. Great food, service.

Great dinner while visiting Highpoint University. Counter service and great efforts with safety precautions. When we told them it was for celiac, they wiped down all counters, changed gloves, and pulled out all fresh topping containers from inventory. Pizzas were really tasty on thin crisp crust. We tried the chicken bbq and margarita pizza. They also had David’s GF brownies!

Always curious and have a dedicated gluten free section to make the gluten free pizzas. They are so good! My favorite place since I got diagnosed celiac.

Stopped by after a visit with my kiddo to the Discovery Place nearby. Located in a strip mall. Fairly quiet when we arrived and the person helping us was super nice. He immediately said he’d change gloves, offered to grab ingredients from below, and was very helpful. They offer gf crust and gf cauliflower crust. I had gf and it was crunchy and tasty. Good spot for a faster bite to eat.
