Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint

Under new name. Guy behind counter was clueless. I asked if they had gluten free crust and he said yes. Then I asked if they put them on separate trays or changed gloves and he looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head so we left. Such a shame because uncle Maddie’s was great.

Great service, good atmosphere. No gluten reaction even though a conveyor belt oven . Employees careful to change gloves and use separate utensils in cooking area. Highly recommend-not in Mall og GA so not busy traffic area

We have been happy Maddio's customers for several years. They take great care when you let them know you have an allergy. But lately it seems more like you have to keep an eye on them, and this varies employee to employee. My son has Celiac. Recently, I was offered a free cookie because my online pizza order was overlooked. I asked about their cookies, my recollection being that none of them were gluten free. "Yes - all of our cookies are gluten free", this employee told me. I took the order home & before I gave my son the cookie & tested it in our Nima device. NOT gluten free. I went back to the store later & the manager confirmed that no, none of the cookies are gluten free. So you still have to be careful.

Not the best pizza. But the folks who work there are super nice, well versed in cross contamination prevention, and genuinely concerned about allergy and intolerance issues. As soon as I asked for gluten free pizza, the lady who makes the pizza started clearing the counter and cleaning it. She also got clean utensils and unopened bags of the ingredients I asked for. And everybody was super cheerful about it all. Nobody treated my order like it was a hassle at all.

When I need pizza out, this will definitely be my go to pizza place.

The pizza is good but you have to carefully watch them. I watched them use the same spoon on my pizza as they used to spread toppings on the wheat pizza. We went back over to ask them to do a new pizza. I think the girl making the pizza was new, the others seemed to understand immediately when we asked. I didn't get sick (since they made a new one) but won't feel comfortable here unless I watch the whole process to ensure mistakes aren't made.

Never gotten sick here. Lots of toppings and salads to choose from. Only crust I've had that's better is Luigi's.

I am a very sensitive Celiac and when I called ahead to see how they handled gluten free orders, I was impressed at their thoroughly described protocol. When we visited to actually eat there, I was also impressed. They're very careful, they understand cross-contamination and they take very seriously any "allergy" orders. I wasn't going to write a review until I knew how I reacted, but I didn't even get a hint of sickness from contamination or anything. This will probably be our family's go-to gluten free pizza option!

These folks really understand gluten-free! Besides a darned good crust, he put on new gloves to make the pizza. He knew which toppings we could eat. We tried to add sausage and he told us it wasn't GF. They even left the little breadstick off of the side salad that went with the GF pie. We arrived at 6:50 on a beautiful Friday evening, and we were sitting in a booth eating by 7:10. AAA+++!!

Great dinner while visiting Highpoint University. Counter service and great efforts with safety precautions. When we told them it was for celiac, they wiped down all counters, changed gloves, and pulled out all fresh topping containers from inventory. Pizzas were really tasty on thin crisp crust. We tried the chicken bbq and margarita pizza. They also had David’s GF brownies!

Stopped by after a visit with my kiddo to the Discovery Place nearby. Located in a strip mall. Fairly quiet when we arrived and the person helping us was super nice. He immediately said he’d change gloves, offered to grab ingredients from below, and was very helpful. They offer gf crust and gf cauliflower crust. I had gf and it was crunchy and tasty. Good spot for a faster bite to eat.
