Uncle Will's Pancake House

Sadly, we just left Will’s and were not able to order gluten free food for our 10 year old celiac. We asked for the gluten free pancakes to be prepared using separate utensils and to clean the grill. The waitress told us that was not possible. I spoke to the owner and manager to make the same request and was told that the grill gets scraped between every serving but the griddle cannot be wiped down and utensils would not be changed. I asked if there was any accommodation that could be made based on prior reviews. I was told no because the kitchen is too busy and the owner does not have dedicated gluten free prep or cooking space. Not celiac safe.

The best gluten free pancakes! The cleanest omelette you can find anywhere. Five stars doesn’t do Uncle Will’s justice!

Knowledgable servers, not a dedicated kitchen space but the chefs will wipe down the grill and be careful about cross contamination if you tell them you need it to be gf. Not only are the pancakes so good you’ll question if they are really gf (they are and they are soooo good) but they also offer a gf English muffin so many of their eggs Benedict dishes can be made gf.

If you tell them you have celiac they will clean part of the griddle for the GF pancakes, which are delicious. Better than any I've made at home.

Great atmosphere and food. BUT they said the GF pancakes were cooked on the same grill as the rest. Be careful!!!!!!

Uncle Will's Pancake House has amazing gluten free pancakes. They also have a dedicated kitchen space to gluten-free cooking. there are many items on the menu which can be adapted to gluten free such as omelets and good home fried potatoes. The owner Tom is a great guy and all the staff are friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about gluten free products. this place has been around since 1965 and I came here as a kid and of course in those days they weren't wearing anything gluten free in those days however now that I'm gluten-free I find myself returning to the very place that was my childhood breakfast spot growing up on Beach Haven. if I could give it 10 Stars I would give it 10 Stars exclamation point
