Clearly marked menu, had GF bread to switch out with spreads. I had the Cuban stew and Imit was fantastic. Server was very knowledgeable and kitchen had appropriate measures in place.

Not many gluten free options. Servers not educated. Beware of fried chicken sandwich. They offer a gluten free bread option but the chicken is coated in flour. Not sure why they have a gluten free bread option listed on a glutinous entree!! Beware

Wheat Allergy

Menu is marked with GF items. My friend and I ordered the fried eggs and Brussel sprouts and wanted to confirm with the waitress that it was indeed GF as my friend has celiac’s and I have a wheat allergy. The waitress said it may not be GF because they make the eggs in the fryer??? Maybe she meant the Brussel sprouts.? In any case, she asked the kitchen and said the oil was new and they hadn’t fried anything in the oil yet today so we were good. We went ahead and ordered that and it was good and neither of us had a reaction.

Really unhappy. The menu is marked with gluten free lots of places online, so I expected lots of options. We got there and the server told me that most of the stuff I couldn’t actually have because the fryer is shared so it’s gluten free for sensitive but not celiac safe. No where on the menu does it indicate gluten free doesn’t mean celiac safe. They also were unable to answer if the gluten free bread was toasted on shared equipment, and said the eggs were cooked in butter for a menu item marked dairy free. Terrible about allergens.

Worst gluten free dining experience ever. Ordered the avocado toast with gluten free bread, confirmed with the waitress about gluten allergy. When the server came, I asked if the bread I was served was gluten free and they confirmed it was the right bread. Server came later AFTER I had already finished half of the food, that the bread they gave was not gluten free, and brought the right bread then. By then I had already eaten the food. The manager came by but only was concerned about anaphylactic reaction. They clearly do not understand how celiacs diseases works/presents. Very disappointing experience after hearing good things about this place.

When I mentioned that I had celiac, the waiter brought out someone from the kitchen staff to talk with me about my gluten allergy. When I explained my level of sensitivity, he told me that they used the same vat of oil to fry everything, so the only thing that was truly gluten free on their menu was the sweet potato curry. I had been thinking about getting that anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal. But they only have one item on their menu that’s 100% gluten free with no cross contamination.

Basically: good service, but not many options. Be sure to tell them your level of sensitivity.

Was shocked by how few options there actually were. I finally settled on something but it wasn’t that great. Definitely better options around.

The menu shows all gluten free options and the staff double checked with the kitchen re: my selections since I also have a corn allergy. The menu is definitely unconventional, but very interesting choices and service is excellent. I tried the chickpea stew with falafal and kale nachos - both were outstanding. Will go again in a heartbeat!

The staff was highly attentive. They have several dishes clearly marked gluten-free, dairy-free and tell you which items contain nuts. Vibrant atmosphere. For any occasion - casual, work or date night. Kyle was a stand out waiter!
