Unfortunately the Upcountry Bakery in Captain Cook has closed! The owners moved into Kailua-Kona and opened a new place called "Evolution Bakery & Cafe" at the Coconut Grove Marketplace. Same yummy gluten free bagels made fresh daily. Great toasted or as a sandwich. Lots of other gluten free organic baked goods including brownies and banana bread. Juices and smoothies. Friendly, helpful staff. They also make gluten free pizza crust for the pizza place next door. Be sure to check it out!

They only had three things to choose from when I was there. The chocolate chip cookie was good, the scone was ok. Not a lot to choose from around here, so give them a chance for sure.

Super delish with lots of GF choices, including bagels, tortillas and pastries. Had the GF breakfast burrito. Hadn't had a burrito for 12 years so I was a happy camper. Be sure to check out the new site in the Kopeko Plaza in Kona, across from Hilo Hatties.
